Unless this has been secretly going on for a while I just can’t see it happening.Booney wrote:Brodlach wrote:Would be fitting if Clarkson signed at Essendon and North lose their big fish again

I think you are right Jim, just too much going on there for seasoned coach to jump in to, they would see the writing on the wall there and know how it will go down.Jim05 wrote:Unless this has been secretly going on for a while I just can’t see it happening.Booney wrote:Brodlach wrote:Would be fitting if Clarkson signed at Essendon and North lose their big fish again

He was apparently close to making a decision to coach North and we are still fluffing around trying to decide if Rutten goes or not. Too much boardroom instability and we will miss the boat IMO

I have nothing against Rutten as a person and he seems like a good bloke but I don’t think he is head coach material and appears well out of his depth. Like Bolton, Leppitsch etc I think he is a good assistant. I just can’t see how Rutten stays now and if it’s not Clarkson it will be someone else. I don’t like how Rutten is being docked around though, just make the decision and either move him on or back him inBooney wrote:Jim05 wrote:Unless this has been secretly going on for a while I just can’t see it happening.Booney wrote:Brodlach wrote:Would be fitting if Clarkson signed at Essendon and North lose their big fish again

whufc wrote:Not sure Clarkson will be too worried about a clubs off field affairs. I think he would believe his in a position to demand that the second he walks through the doors people shut up and listen to him.
I think he will pick the list that he thinks he can make finals with in 2-3 years and win a flag in 5 years...….whether that's from their current list or trade power.
Personally I think he might land at GWS......with a bit of assistance from the AFL.
