Now it's Thursday and you would think, things will start to get busy at the trade table

Media Reports suggest the following possibilities

Judd to Carlton and Kennedy to the Blues
Symes to the Crows for a second round pick
A Morgan from the Kanga's to the crows for a late draft pick or adelaide fringe player
Hawthorn have targeted Thorton from Carlton and Danny Myer from the tigers
St Kilda have closed in on Scnieder and Dempster from the swans
Swans are keen on Tenance and Brad Miller
Collingood are set to gain Cameron Wood's services
Brisbane are keen on Johnstone from Melbourne and R Shaw from Collingwood
WB are still keen on D White
Kanga's have interviewed S Power from the WB
Richmond have offere J McMahon a 3 year deal
Essendon are shopping around Ryder and Dyson
Swans are still shopping around J bulton and Buchanan
Hawthorn's Tim Boyle's name continues to be mentioned

Finally, their will be the trades that come from left field as clubs attempt to get deals done

In specific to the Crows interviewing Morgan from the Kanga's

My mail, the crows are happy to do a late draft pick swap or even a straight fringe player swap

The Crows view Morgan as a 200cm utility..... Dutchy may be able to comment more

This kid is 200cm, 100kg's and is very very quick for his size, however at the age of 21 he needs to get some more footy in to him as he has only been living in Australia for about 6 years

From memory, Morgan has won a rising star nomination, not sure if it was the same game, however I recall the Kid playing a pretty good game against the Hawks in Tassie where he shouldered the ruck duties

The crows also believe he could develop in to a pretty good tall defender

I heard Brisbane also keen on Sam Power to reunite with his brother Luke

Also heard that Collingwood players flew up to talk to Rahn Hooper to tell him how great Collingwood are

On the Geelong front:

- Blake staying signed new contract
- Steven King likely to be traded (per the Age) or the Cats will ask King to retire. While prepared to offer a one-year contract, salary cap constraints meant King was unhappy with the deal (per Geelong Advertiser)

according to AFL.com this morning

His name is actually Brad Moran.

Yes his rising star nomination was in that game in Tasmania.

He has only played 3 games for the Roo's. It looks like he needs a change of scenery. I am still not sold on his rucking ability, i think he may be developed as a pinch hitter and maybe a key forward/back instead of spending 75% of time in the middle.

Would be dissappointed to lose Moran but with Hale and McIntosh in front of him he may well go for more opportunities, that game in Tassie was his debut game and got over 20 possies and won a rising star nom in his first game......I would not let him go for anything worse than a 3rd rounder though as this guy will be a great player IMO, has a great grab...he was very close to selection in the finals but due to the Roos good run iwth injury didnt get much of a crack this year....also I reckon Roos would be silly to get rid of a Gold Coast native considering the presence they are trying to get up there

King will stay as he is prepared to take a 50% pay cut to remain with the club. The Geelong Addy ran an article prompting the big Cat to retire so not too sure about them on King.

We'll see if rebmail is correct.

I think the need to go that one step further next year will over-ride any "place of origin" benefits of any players

Meesen to Melbourne for pick 37...
Not a bad pick up for Melbourne considering he was originally taken at 8...

Only two confirmed trades have happened and both involve Adelaide...
The other being Mattner to Sydney for pick 28...

I want to see the Power look at getting a ruckman. Lade and Brogan aren't getting any younger and our next in line Deluca is not half the player these two are, so we need to get some into the club pretty soon. James Micklejohn would be my first choice.

Amazing how fortunes can swing in such a short period of time ... From memory Meeson went pick 8 and Wood around pick 20 when initially drafted, but Brisbane are reportedly likely to receive much better than pick 37 for big Cameron.

(This is not a swipe at the Crows btw, just interesting how things can pan out)
