In COVID iso so I watched all 9 games on the weekend either live or in full on replay, I can confidently say that in my view Adelaide have the worst kicking ability in the competition. The midfield just butchers the ball, everyone of them. Beyond Walker and Dawson I'm lost as to who is an elite kick at Adelaide, the likes of Schoenberg, Berry, McHenry just butcher it, Laird and Crouch do nothing with it and why the hell is Hately out on the wing? Surely he's in the middle ahead of Crouch. They have to accept Crouch is a ball magnet at SANFL level and a liability at AFL level. I saw Doedee kick in from defence yesterday to Crouch who was 25m out from the Hawks goal front, what a terrible move.
Question Crowies, do you not have the bail out down the line target or do you not play the style that uses one? Collingwood have Cox, Port have Dixon, Sydney have Reid etc, someone to just go down the line to and get a contest. Because of this Adelaide's ball movement from defence is terribly slow, the forwards in Walker and Fogarty need the ball on the fly to get on the lead, they aren't pack marking forwards.
Of all the games I watched Adelaide looked the least organized of any side, granted I think I got North on a good weekend and the Eagles weren't much more convincing but they've got talent Adelaide don't have.
PAFC. Forever.
LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!
