Was there a typo on play Hq or did CU actually lose to Fitzroy?
Anyone know what happened, CU struck down with covid late or ??

Good to see Eastern Park recruit Scott Webber return to form with 3 goals though.

As an umpire you can't allocate the hidden players votes.
What would you do as an umpire waiting to submit? Chase up the name and number of the player (then the club knows who polled) or just go to the next best player in your list?

I wouldn’t give them a vote, next player

The Bedge wrote:Well we are officially a third of the way through the minor round - I must admit it feels like it's gone fairly quickly. At the moment Trinity OS still the clear stand out, but after the weekends results the challenger to their flag could come from any of 5 teams.
Why did Trinity not take the offer to go into Div 5? A quick look at results suggests their smallest winning margin is 4 goals away to Marion. And with the plight of Salisbury, Blackfirars and St Pauls in Div 5, it would appear they would have held their own, maybe even played finals

Re: 2022 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
Ladder after Round 7
10 - Trinity OS
08 - West Croydon
07 - Central United
06 - Marion
06 - Brahma Lodge
---------------------------
04 - Ingle Farm
03 - Rosewater
02 - Fitzroy
02 - Para Hills
Round 8
Brahma Lodge vs Trinity OS: The Tigers host the premiership fancies in this interesting clash. Coming off the 'Bye', The Lodge staged a heroic comeback last weekend, kicking 5 last quarter goals to run over the top of Rosewater. Tom Jenkins proving dangerous up forward, along with Jack Cook the pair combined for more than half the Lodge goals. Whilst Brahma have lost a couple to Blanchetown, they've added Chris Catalano whose had an instant impact. Trinity fresh off the bye will be eager to resume where they left off. Fit, well structured and dangerous, the Tossers will be looking for a fast start in this match. Jordan Smith to combine with Cam & Brad Matters and feed a dangerous forward line, its hard to see them being contained. Look for a day out from Barilla up forward, and James Forwood on a return from a run in the 2's. Brad Cameron for BOG.
Trinity OS: 50+
West Croydon vs Fitzroy: The Thommo-Hawks will be smarting after their loss last weekend, and hell bent on getting back on the winners list. No love lost between these two clubs, a serious rivalry in recent years and neither will want to take a back step. Whyalla exports Beaty and Bourke to lock horns, Bourke with 4 goals on his return a key cog in the Lions win last weekend. The youthful nature of the Fitzroy side will hold them in good stead against a quick West Croydon side that likes to play the game up-tempo. Dion Doolan and Nick Symons along with Joe Bull keys for the Hawks, with TJ Wanganeen and the crafty Freddy Agius combining with the ever dangerous Luke Woodcock forward. Beveridge will have his work cut out for Fitzroy, expect Dolley to go ok as well but they'll need a lot to go right to continue on with another win.
West Croydon: 50+
Rosewater vs Para Hills: Both coming off loses, one is capable of changing that - Rosewater. The Bulldogs will be filthy letting an almost 3 goal lead slip at the last change to lose last weekend. Gagliardi prominent in the match - potentially leading the medal count after a third of the season - whilst Joe Hay appears to be getting accustomed to the change down in grades. Para Hills last week had a few that could hold their heads high - Veprek and Rigney clear stand outs, whilst Power battled hard all day. Alizai wasnt bad and Weetra dangerous forward, but sadly that's where it ended and the lack of depth left them vulnerable and exposed, beaten by 50 points. It'll be a tough back up for the Roos who wont have a match up for Catterall, and expect their midfield will be sliced to shreds by the experienced Rosewater outfit. Eric and Lath Rigney squaring off should be an entertaining battle. Hard to see Para Hills firing a shot here, Jackson Kelly and Pietrantonio are massive outs. This could get ugly.
Rosewater: 80+
Ingle Farm vs Marion: Farmers return home - their 4th home match of the season - fresh off a confidence boosting win against local rival Para Hills. Coach Jed Pfeiffer donning a jumper and helping lead his side to victory from on-field, ably supported by a midfield that finally broke even, a backline that has battled hard all season and a forward line that's beginning to find some groove. Marion however are just beginning to wind up - and their 64 point demolition of West Croydon was enough to make everyone stand up and take notice. Bailey Stanborough enjoying a good season so far whilst O'Dea, Stewart and Bird are providing the Rams with some serious firepower up forward. Midfielder clearance king Will Cavallo another who would have polled reasonably well so far worth watching. Worth noting, Marion only lost to TOS by 25pts, and units by 28pts - the only two loses received this year.. but when they've won, they've generally one easily.
Marion: 80+
Central United BYE: Units should enjoy a relaxing weekend watching Eastern Park vs Elizabeth

Well said after a 10 goal defeat.
Hadn’t seen their results when I posted that, but they are sitting 2nd after claiming they couldn’t get a team together, and dropped down a div, can’t help but feel that’s unfair on the D6 clubs

Two cards in the WC v FIT game so that wins.
Arbon DNP for Brahma so that leg is void - but rest was good.
Ingle Farm the big effort - O’Dea with goals, but Farmers we’re strong defensively for most of the game - 4 goals in last 10min or so blew the margin out. If Farmers can stay fit and reproduce that sort of effort consistently then I think some scalps they’ll claim.

Re: 2022 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
In the blink of an eye we are suddenly 7 games deep, and only two matches away from the mid-season bye. No real shocks on the weekends results - perhaps the margin of victory for West Croydon over Fitzroy was slightly larger than anticipated. Ingle Farm produced a fair effort against Marion, despite going down by 38 points the Farmers trailed by less than a goal midway through the last quarter, an arm wrestle all day as the sides fought for ascendency.
Eventually the youth and leg speed of Marion won out and the Farmers were put away.
Para Hills were never going to stop big Catterall up forward - along with Birch, Sumner, O'Toole.. dangerous forward line.
A couple of noticeable names missing from the Brahma side - whispers that perhaps not all rosey down there and old mate Harvey is lurking to encourage players to Blanchetown on massive over$$... but Trinity continue on their merry way, and now have added Owen John to the mix. No one will beat them.
I think top 5 sides I've seen so far in order:
1. Trinity
2. Marion
3. West Croydon
4. Rosewater
5. Central United
Of those 4, I feel like Marion is the most vulnerable come finals - they spread well, they're fast and they have some athletics forwards but they're young and not sold they can handle the physical pressure of finals.. Rosewater the biggest danger to out of the 5.. but Units shouldn't be underestimated or dismissed, they've impressed so far.
Para Hills have a tough back half ahead of them, and this weeks match between Ingle Farm and Fitzroy is incredibly important in the relegation race.. I feel like if Ingle Farm can win this week, and get tighten up some areas in the back 9, then they could cause a few headaches for some sides and help shape the 5.

Was the Rosewater coach there on the weekend? I noticed they had a big win, but did hear on the weekend he has finished up or will be finishing up and is involved at West Adelaide juniors?

Maybe WC could worry about WC instead of their obsession with Rosewater

Re: 2022 Adelaide Footy League - Division 6
In my idle time I thought that I would accumulate the top goal scorers as inputted to Play HQ.
There are number of instances were there are no goalkickers recorded, including Marion, Central United, West Croydon, Para Hills for 1 match each.
There are also other instances where that are not enough goal kickers or too many based on the final score.
So allowing for those instances the top 5 after 7 rounds
25 - Luke Woodcock (WC)
20 - Shane Catterall (R)
19 - Pat O'Dea (M)
18 - Daniel Weetra (PH)
18 - Jordan Perna-hague (CU)
