Never used a rower before but always wanted one.
It’s definitely hard work and definitely a full body workout with a good blow of the lungs.
Not sure what everyone else can do but have made it to 30 minutes already and nearly 7000m

Good work. They are a great way to lose weight. I used to row twice a day for an hour each time and would do 12ks in an hour. I lost 25 kilo in 3 months on the rower and then I stopped and now I'm a fat bastard again. It does get boring after a while so try and mix it up a bit.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

And you need the room for one.

IMO one of the best cardio ergos you can get along with the good old versa-climber

As you said full body workout. My favourite sesh on the concept 2 is 10 x 3 min reps (2min at 2:00-2:10) 500 m with 1 min trying to hold 1:30 500m (or at least stay below 1:45 ;) trying to punch out 5000 -6000m for the sesh.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Definitely looking forward to mixing it up with different workouts. Still getting to understand all the numbers on the screen and what they mean. I know the record for 30 minutes is 7980m and the average is 6200m. I do weights every second day so I’m not sure if that will compromise that or help it?

Wont comprise your strength training at all provided your diet is relatively decent.

By doing intense cardio you are chance of creating a calorie deficit, by having a deficit your body might start to lose a little bit of muscle unless you are getting good protein in-take. A rough estimate is you want about 1.2g of protein for each kilo you weigh.

If you eat well and combine strength and cardio training its fair to say you will most likely put on lean muscle and visually will appear more athletic as the mass you lose from cardio will most likely be fat and not your muscle mass.

Keep up the good work mate.

A good indicator will be if you drop a few kilos but can continue to lift with the strength you had previously you have everything on point.

ps. don't ever go on a ultra low carb diet if your looking to keep muscle...…..

The rest of the family is away for a couple of days, I'm 'working from home today', the house is quiet and the rain is falling.

Rare serenity!

She's living the dream. Her & the wife are at a luncheon at the Highway where she's been introduced to & having a chat with Kerrin Mcevoy about becoming a jockey.

I had to umpire my son's under 17 game Saturday, he was a bit crook in the morning and on the way there but it was only his 2nd game for a new club so he didn't want to sit out.

About 3 minutes in he got the ball in the back pocket, took about 6 or 7 bounces and then lined up the goals and slotted on from just inside 50.

So I'm guessing at the Mail Medal for that round it will be

I left it up to other dude, young Mc did kick 3 in the first quarter and I had to leave at 3 qtr time.

I didn't tell the other ump of the connection either.

I'm generally harder on my own kids than the others, that's why I'm glad I stopped coaching them.

I did ping him for a holding the ball and then his team mate walked between him and the lad that got the free so I paid 25 against him
