I won money betting against my side and I’ll now get a pay rise thanks to hopefully some Labor voters losing their jobs in the coming weeks.

Gone from about 85% at mine to under 20% now in just over 10 years. As the old buggers are pushed out it will bring numbers down very quicklytigerpie wrote:Sorry to disappoint but there will always be a union presence in the workforce because some **nts can't be trusted when it comes to wages and health and safety.

Nothing now as we have got rid of most of them in my division and under the new contracts rewritten 2 years ago you are now are forbidden to take strike action.Armchair expert wrote:Jim05 wrote:Gone from about 85% at mine to under 20% now in just over 10 years. Spot on. Our yard would be 90-95% union, it’s why we have decent work conditions & pay. No one ever wants to strike in our industry, in all my years we’ve stopped work just once, it was resolved within the hour.
