It's rife in hospitality. I enjoy it though as I have a low tolerance for dickheads and give twice as worse back.

Maybe if you gave them good service in the first place, you wouldn't cop it..

Threatening to take customers to court never goes down well.

My customers say noone pours a better beer!
It's mainly what I observe when on the other side of bars especially TAB punters. Even the people that get in late or stuff up their tickets get in on time with me as I'm pretty quick on the TAB machine.

Never threatened a customer but I'll counter-sue anyone who takes me to court because I'm adhering to the law.
I would think/hope most intelligent people would do the same.
Still a bit grumpy mate? Cheer up, pop in, I'll buy you a drink!

Re: Things that you don't understand
I have found Victorians are a bit warped at the moment. The 2nd and 3rd and 4 th little lockdowns have just pushed the. To the edge a bit. I suspect it will simmer down soon, but they are a bit jumpy at the moment.JK wrote:Jimmy_041 wrote:Booney wrote:Life's too short.
Probably the result of the lockdowns................
I am noticing how short tempered Victorians have become on the phone
Might be onto something. Pretty stupid to take Lockdown frustrations out on someone else subject to the same restrictions, but I guess logic rarely appears in people with anger issues.
Fair reason too, they have a government that jumps at shadows.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Re: Things that you don't understand
Didn't quite know where to put this one. Did we ever have a thread call "Miscellaneous Debris"?
Anwho.
I received a FB PM from a lady I didn't know last night. Thought that was a bit odd. So I clicked on the picture & soon worked out that the message was either from the wife, or the daughter of a guy I played Vets Cricket with at the National Carnival in Perth in 2019.
The message was "Hi, would you like to chat"...... I ignored it. Then this morning a few more messages, until I finally bit, and said can I help you, not sure why you want to chat to me. The reply love hearts and she changed the message format to Pink.
Houston we have a problem, this is not right, and by now I have worked out, its this blokes daughter... I am guessing 14 or 15. Yikes.
So I call the guy I played cricket with, saying this is not right, and if it were my 14 yo daughter contacting a 55 year old guy, I'd like the guy to let me know.
He explained his daughter is actually 24, but has an intellectual disability, and is more like a 13 or 14 year old. Apparently my name came up in conversation a week or so ago, from there the young lady has looked me up on facebook. Her dad went on to say she had been asking about me, where did I live etc. He thanked me for my call. I feel better about the whole thing now too. So I do now understand.
Just hate for her to get infatuated with the wrong bloke, and be taken advantage of.
She has deactivated the chat now.

We have to constantly shut machines down because we can't get casuals through our labour hire company because they don't have any.

My thoughts precisely
When the Russian fianchettoed his light square bishop, the Norwegian steered the game into a kind of reversed Benoni defence — technically an Agincourt variation of the English opening.
I must say, what was the white thinking by having his King so far from home? Suicidal.

I'm confused
Is that the Old, Czech, Modern or Snake Benoni defence?

There are 2 games that i've never understood, despite many attempts to teach me.
1) Canasta
2) Chess
