GG and Modbury might have to look for a servo sponsor with all the hikes coming up next season!

Looks like this div could be competitive with some of the signings
Golden grove with shenton & johnston look very strong
Flinders with the Schwarz brothers will also be hard to beat
Morphy park with the barn brothers & toohey
Westminster with clisby and craig - will be a very interesting year

I'd say for November, we are shaping up ok. Almost all of our 2021 have signed on and whilst we obvioulsy havent had any major SANFL/ AFL experienced palyers like some others have, we still feel we have added some really good quality of either returning players and a couple of new ones to the club.
After a poor start to the 2021 Season where we went 5 and 4, we finished the second half at 7 and 2. The two teams we lost against were Gaza and North Haven who eventually played off in the GF. Hopefully that finish to the year was a sign of things to come for the playing group.
With both sides coming down from Div 2 looking relatively strong as well as the two coming up looking solid, it is going to make for a very interesting year in Div 3 i think.

Thought modbury could have given it a real shake had it been a 5 team finals set up, very good side

Yeah, we really felt like we were coming good at the right time of year but unfortunately a couple of losses early in the year where we kicked innaccurately really cost us. Only had ourselves to blame (and COVID!!!).
All about carrying that through to 2022 now.

The CBCOC thread seems as appropriate place to post this as anywhere, in light of Alex Carey I wonder who the last player to play SAAFL and test cricket was?

Put it to the troops on the FB page. I'd say we'd be going back a bit, not many SA players have played test cricket over the last 20 years
Therefore, the answer to that question is probably Darren Lehman

Did Chadd Sayers play for Flinders Park or did I imagine that?

Correct regarding Sayers, won the club BnF in Div 2 before he had to choose between footy and cricket

Another signing for GG. Wyatt Patterson returning back from CDFC.

Golden grove seriously going to take the mickey out of this div next year. Big chance they could go undefeated - they barely lose at home and there team currently seems waaaaay to strong for div 3
