Best batter as well. Pengelley is hit and miss and can’t play the short ball, good bowlers have worked him out.

Good cricketer on his day, just not frequent enough.
Valente leaves a huge hole, carried Adelaide for many years.

What about PA

Needed four runs with two wickets in hand for the win

Go and get two run outs and lose by one run.

It's looking like Southern Districts as a club are in for a world of pain this season. The men are going to struggle and the women have already suffered 2 huge losses (all out 31 last week and 8/4 at the end of innings yesterday!!). We all know what happened with the women's program but this is just awful for them. Also, does nothing for the development of the teams playing against them as well.

Can anyone here enlightened me on your rules re dual registration?

Can a premier club junior, play in both ATCA junior comp, and SCJCA comp as well?

SCJCA bylaws state dual registration are permitted to any other associations

Generally allows any kids that play Premier on Saturday to play Community cricket on Sunday morning

Premier to community cricket don't think any concerns, as for ATCA to SCJCA - would think that would only be permitted if it was the same club in different comps.

Cant have a kid representing two different community cricket clubs.

The only exception I could think of, would be if they were different age groups - and one community club couldn't provide but the other could.

i.e. plays U16 Premier + SCJCA and seniors ATCA? ATCA club might be his primary club but not have juniors, or the SCJCA club might not have seniors?

Dual registrations are permitted in all associations.
It used to include Premier clubs only but changed 2 seasons ago.

Quite a few kids play for two community clubs

Games are at different times eg Para Districts are Saturday morning, Adelaide Turf and other junior competitions are Sunday.
Some competitions have Friday night age groups too.

He has got several media commitments now, picked up good contract with Channel 7 and their coverage, replacing Slater.

Was going to play whenever he could, originally if we had couple of our batsmen out with Redbacks duties. But at full strength with Capel, Smith, Gibson, Drew and Neilson he was not going to play.

With him wanting the media career, has young family, and not getting a Big Bash contract, at a guess would not expect to see him much if at all.

Yes, fair enough.

I thought originally he had just retired from Shield Cricket and was still going to play the One-Dayers for the Redbacks. Checked those scorecards and didn't see his name in. Thought the Strikers could pick him up and he'd still be a good player for them, but not to be? Good luck to him in the media - he presents and speaks very well - I'm sure he'll do well. I'd imagine it would be a better/safer lifestyle than playing those international T20 comps in these Covid times.

Torrens Cup this week - East vs West. Both look pretty good sides, WT in particular though Reds strong too especially if Jake Lehmann plays the bulk of the year.

And in other games, Zac Worden turns out against his former club with his former club

Redbacks fly out Friday to WA, think Gibson and Neilson out for us, and Lehmann left out so and in for ET, certainly puts the odds in East Torrens favour now. Think Tom and Corey Kelly going too which are big outs for Sturt, lucky they play Southerns

Looks like you're on the money. They're not named for Sturt tomorrow.

Would be some interesting viewing if any clubs could get frogbox to work properly!
