What are North expected to do next year? Continue playing Nathan Lonie in their League side at the expense of a Player that really does want to play for North? Why should Lonie be put in front of a player that wants to play for the jumper of the NAFC?

The best outcome would be for North to cut him from their list altogether, then for the other 8 SANFL clubs to refuse to have him as well, leaving him to play in the Amatuer league.

Naturally Im unaware what Lonie was told re his chances of replacing Wilson in the Powers line up, but he must have been the only dreamer that thought he was a realistic chance.
The Power wanted to replace Wilson with a similar tough, hard at it, team man and I suppose somewhere down at Alberton, someone [buggered if I know who] might have given 30 secs thought to that player being Lonie.
My advice is WAKE UP and realise where your footy ability sits in the big scheme of things and if we can now add mentally soft to your CV, well your career is only going 1 way. :toimonster: :toimonster:

Yeah that will happen! He will stay on North's list if he remains in Adelaide. I would hardly think strugglers like South and West would say no if he was re-aligned to another SANFL club!

Soooooo....Lonie was told early last week he would be playing for Port in the GF. And then was told he wouldn't.

Hence his extreme disappointment, staying in Melbourne and not playing for North this week.

Would be looking for a trade I suspect.
