My first wager failed because My Fathers Son is not genuine
My 2nd wager I went way too safe but didn't want to look foolish on my first post for some time
Made $2.50 profit for $10 outlay

Had I backed both races on an eachway basis - TOAST

I'm no expert when it comes to gambling but that seems like a crap way to bet

No - sounds like you are unfamiliar with SRM
You may choose between 2 and 4 dogs
And you need to nominate the worst case your selection will run - if it runs that or better , it is a result
so if I pick #1 to WIN and #7 to finish 3rd then of course #1 must win and #7 can finish 2nd or 3rd , so the wager is somewhat easier to arrive than an Exacta
But it is possible to buy an Exacta , a Quinella , or even a straight Trifecta or first 4 , and Know what dividend is paying

I'll post a wager or 2 of mine for The Meadows today

I still think if u did your numbers as a roving banker first 4 you would be better off in the long run.

Taking $3-4 odds for 2 dogs to run top 4 for mine doesn’t really cut it, but each to their own I guess.

fairly even night of racing for the cup heats. i suspect there will be a couple of upsets.

gawler - wednesday

race1 - 1 termo beach - had 0 luck last saturday from box 5 where is was smashed on box rise. PLACE $1.44

race2 - 2 red firestone has the best time of the field from box 2, a repeat of somewhere near that effort and it wins. $2.40

race 3 - 1 miss graphite
has had 5 starts for 1 win and 4 places. has the best time over track-distance. poor win strike rate and does use a bit of the track. bonus is it should lead inside division comfortably. $2.30

race 4 - 1 slick riot
happy to play the red here with the advantage from the inside over the 7. $2.20

race 5 - 5 - stellar stone - played this on saturday over the 595m, ran a fair race, beaten 2.5L by the 2. happy to play the 5 at the price, mainly place. $21/$7.50

race 6 - think it looks a race between the 4,8.
4 was quite good in winning last start, can lead again prove hard to beat.


race 7 - 6 victa haydn - beaten in a heat of the adelaide cup but still went 30.46. good enough for this.
$2.50

race 8 - 2 cray diva
too short, but should be winning this easily. watch
$1.45

race 9 - 1 - pure by design
only a steady type but has box 1 and can hold off the challengers. $2.50

race 10 -
1 shimmy sharna will lead here and the 2 will drop right in behind it and should turn into a good match race. - im going with the 2 to find the line that fraction better.
$2.30

race 11
happy to play the 10 spiritual vision here in a race i wasnt overly keen on. $3
also think the 8 strathmill lass place $3.20 is worth a nibble, it will hit the line best of these.

race 12 - 5 faux allie - lets finsih with a roughy at the $15. fate will be known early. needs to jump on terms.

Cup night

Race 1 - happy to go with the 6 at the $3.40/$1.50. Hard to see him missing the money.

Race 3 - 1 sudden force $2.90/$1.62
Drawn nicely to kick up on the fence.
Only other real danger for lead is the 5, and it's suspect over the 500m.

Race 4
3 dog Race here 1,2,4.
Happy to play the 1 from the fence.
4 is clearly the best dog in the race, but will have negotiate traffic.
Hit the 1 mainly place

Race 5
1 run like Jess is ready to fire. Been solid in its 2 starts here already.
2 lashes monelli looks the obvious top pick, is going terrific.
8 sir truculent- should have won last start at Gawler. Can't write off the champ, but hope he drifts before getting interested.

4 is horrible price.

Race 6 Cup consolation

1 - $1.90... I'll pass on that price.
2 - put in the back end of exotics. Loves the fence.
7 will come out running and give the winner 8 Fly for trix a beautiful run into the race.

Only 4 hopes
1,2,5,8.
I think 2 crosses 1 early.
The 5 withers monelli is the one I Ike here.
8 - loves the wide draw and will be running on.

Race 8 CUP

The scratching has made the Race interesting and changed the map.
Early pace will be the 9,5.
Fairly even lot after that pace wise.

1 will get crossed early and will stay nailed to the rail. Must for the backend of exotics.

4 being average out helps the 5,9 early. This was a good winner in the heat, weaving through the small field. Will hit the line hard.

5 - despite it looking the leader, given its ultra consistent out of boxes, just not sure it can hold some of these out. Did a super job last week holding Stout Monelli.

6 - spring lilac (wish it's sister would take some note) just drawn horribly for it tonight. 5 pinging will help it early, but I see this walking out and trying to get to the rail asap.

7 Jack's well on at 50s, drawn OK, gets clear air inside. likely to be posted wide early, but can win from anywhere.

8 Aston Rupee- took $3 just prior to match race series and nibbles all the way down to $2.20.
Fastest dog in the field.
If it drew 1,2,3,4 its $1.30.
Will be better for it's look in the match race where it was just steady early. Will get plenty of room from box 8 to muster out wide. 5 pinging carting 7 and it over.
I can see it sitting 3rd/4th at T1 and from there be awfully hard to hold out
