1st Semi Final Norwood v South Adelaide
Well I was happy to go with Doc's recommendation and just keep the finals thread going but there is now a thread for the 2nd semi so I thought it would be weird having a thread for that game and not this one. Sorry Doc I'm not meaning to go against your wisdom!
Norwood had a tough loss to the Eagles last week and will look to bounce back against a South Adelaide side who looked at their best against North Adelaide. Weather may play a factor in this one with more windy conditions forecast, although not as wet as last week. The Panthers were hard at the ball and tackled well against North and PanthersFans will be hoping to see the same again against the Redlegs. Puopolo a big and classy in for the Legs and will provide the X factor. I think this one goes down to the wire.

Re: 1st Semi Final Norwood v South Adelaide
Norwood for mine here.
South were vastly improved last week and played their best committed footy all year but contested footy is Norwood's strength.
I have more faith in their ability to stay harder at the ball and body for longer.
Norwood by 2 goals

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Is it just me, or are the Legs getting the rub of the green?

Panthers home? Can’t see the Legs reeling them in from this 31 point lead at 3/4 time…

Good effort from Norwood considering they had a chick with her hair up in a bun and 3 guys fatter than me playing.

Can’t wait to see the happy clappers defend that soft, pea hearted effort.

Was the worst team I’ve seen finish third after the minor round.
Even my mob beat them this year!

The absolute buzz for me was seeing Dan Nobes bang thru 4 biggins. From scoutin’ the bucks to committing to big level, Well done Daniel. One week away from a big dream.

Re: 1st Semi Final Norwood v South Adelaide
The margin flattered us.
Too short without Knoll and sacrificing Boyd to ruck.
South SMASHED us in contested ball and clearances.
Mitch might be done.
Skinner and Nobes were outstanding for the ‘Fers. I’ll be barracking for them next Friday.

Re: 1st Semi Final Norwood v South Adelaide
Very happy! Another tough, contested game where South withstood the pressure and came away with a very good win. Similar to last week, the Panthers got the early lead and responded whenever Norwood looked like coming back. Norwood’s kicking for goal was excellent and full credit to them because it kept them close for a lot of the game. Only negative was that South lost Broadbent at quarter time, I wonder if he’s done for the year. All played their part and big Nobes got four goals which was great to see. Can’t wait for Friday night finals footy! Go Panthers!!

National primetime audience on Friday night as well. The cash registers should be running on overdrive.

How good was Skinner!!
I'd say that both Grigg & Broadbent will retire from the SANFL.

Re: 1st Semi Final Norwood v South Adelaide
I love Griggy but he has achieved everything he can at this level and we are not going to be any good in the next couple of years so he isn’t part of our next Premiership side. Time for him to cash in at ammos or country level and enjoy the remainder of his playing days.gazzamagoo wrote:How good was Skinner!!
