Re: R18 North v Norwood Saturday 2.30
Well done Norwood, they brought a finals type pressure today that too many North players didn’t respond well to. I’m not sure what the clearance stats were, but Norwood seemed to dominate out of the centre and often around the ground. Our forwards were found wanting, delivery to them was crap (number 35 in defence for the Legs was very impressive), and our poor conversion in front of the sticks didn’t help.
That said, perhaps it was the loss we had to have after a bunch of relatively easy wins against some weaker opposition. Some food for thought at Prospect as we look towards Sturt next week and wherever we end up in September.

Spot on, Fremantle had a terrible season.
You’re also a bit behind the times, Carr was stood down in July for breaching WA quarantine rules.

North killed us in clearances, Harvey cut us to bits especially.Magellan wrote:Well done Norwood, they brought a finals type pressure today that too many North players didn’t respond well to. Yeah he was very impressive, good mark and very strong in the one on one contests.

[quote="DOC"]North just got up first time round by 15 goals.
Norwood surely will not lose by that margin again.
North by 10 goals

Totally agree. To be honest I had never heard of him and when I saw that an unknown junior was lining up on Keenan Ramsay I thought Ramsay would have a field day. How wrong I was.
Heard took a number of good marks and I thought would have been in the best 3 on the ground.
Mitch Grigg might not be the player he was, but he is still the best user of the ball in the comp. His use of the ball was one of the key differences in the game. Norwood found targets much better than North. They also kicked a number of good long goals, the type of which North never converted.

Heard was superb down back.
Why couldn’t the rain hold off for another 20 mins, absolutely drenched driving home
Was a pretty good solid game of SANFL football, lots of attacking.

Re: R18 North v Norwood Saturday 2.30
So the biggest question is who gets the double chance? Norwood have sneakily clawed their way back into top 3 contention, a big well done to them, unlike my team who have completely capitulated since the half way mark of the season. Very impressed with the Legs how they just keep persisting and backing themselves, you Norwood fans should be very pleased. Norwood should wallop the crows and North will have a tough one at Unley with Sturt still a chance to make the finals. Trust me, South are no certainties against West. Sets up a huge finish to the minor round. Good luck to everyone, I’m just hoping for some good football and good spirit from all supporters.

I was drenched in the last quarter. Didn't take an umbrella as I didn't think it would rain that much. Quite comfy in the car driving home, just ramped up the heater. The win also helped

I got drenched too, Dutchy told me it was supposed to be a fine day so I didn't even take my wet weather jacket!
At least being soaked by rain was different to Friday night when I got drenched with beer.

Most unlike Carr to break the rules but I’m sure it was an honest mistake *18
