Fixtures: Hope Valley v Mitcham Morphettville Park v Pembroke OS Pulteney v Wallkerville Woodville South v Gepps Cross SMOSH West Lakes v Kilburn
Every game has something attached to it - Hope Valley will be trying to do a serious number on Mitcham, whilst hoping Kilburn can make life hard for SMOSH.
Morphy Pk can secure 2nd spot with a win over Pembroke, Walkerville will be hoping they lose and can make up 2% against Pulteney, who will be desperate to avoid a blowout and have their percentage slammed.
Woody Sth and Gepps will square off, and you'd think the loser goes down - unless Pulteney get smacked bad enough.
Woody Sth and Gepps could go out and have a draw on saturday which would push both of them above pulteney if pulteney cant beat the 2nd side.

Yes, but i'm not gonna think about that - both clubs will be hell bent on actually winning and finishing the season on a high, the odds of a draw would be very long.

or the competition could go to 8 teams next year and then 7,8,9,10 go down while the gf teams get promoted.
In other news.. not sure where to post this, but had a giggle and curious.
Apparently the Gepps coach shows the side inspirational/motivations videos pre-game to fire them up. Saturday they did a warm up, then went in and watched some videos then went back out for another warm up lol.
I giggled, thought it was a bit strange - then I was talking to someone else and they said their former coach used to do this also.
Is this something that happens often around clubs??

The amount of teams I see go in for one last pep talk for a couple of minutes is astounding, I've even seen it after the coin toss.

I haven't seen it. I remember though back in the 90s at Ferryden Park our coach gave out video tapes on preparation, recovery and healthy eating. Well he said that's what was on them, pretty confident no one watched them.

I do.. i was more referring to the inspirational video stuff. I thought it was a bit different but sounds like it's not that uncommon.
My motivational talks go along the lines of "You ****.. this is my reputation on the line here, dont **** it up!"

Not video's as such but I've helped out the Peninsula Magpies masters team a few times this year and they always tell jokes, sometimes the umps even get called in to entertain the group with funnies

Watching a movie to get you in the mood can work for other things, I'm not too sure that you'd need it for footy though.

I heard something similar during half time of an under 13 game a few years back, it was a semi final.

That's too funny.
It was, the team had dominated in the couple of seasons beforehand, they beat us nicely in during the season but we hit the ground running in the semi with our full quota of players, all of our parents heard it.

that is a great clip though, how can you NOT be motivated by it.

Rumour Hope Valley offered Kilburn $1000 to spend over the bar if they beat SMOSH. So their 115 point today all in vain, as SMOSH still won easy, bit of Karma there. Play Pembroke again who have lost last two now.
