R17 Glenelg v Centrals Saturday 2.10
Glenelg are due for loss. But not this year.
Centrals will make changes and Glenelg may. Injury report out of Glenelg is vague to say the least.
Glenelg by 10 goals.

Doc 10 goals is conservative, Glenelg WILL WIN by at least that and not get out of second gear doing it .

Still wont be as embarrassing as the game 10 years ago at Glenelg when we lost by 12 goals to 17 fit players, James Gowans spent the last 5 min of the game just sitting in the fwd 50 unable to move with a busted hamstring.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I know we won that year but you could play with 15 and still win easily .

Remember that well. James was lying on his back in the goal square stretching his leg back and forth while the play was up the other end. His man (forget who) ran off him and joined the throng on the other side of centre. Predictably, the ball was booted long out of the dogs' defence, and Gowans was the only man south of centre. He was able to prop himself up, scoop up the ball and gently kick it through the goal long before any other player got near him.
I could be wrong, but I reckon his brother finished the game injured on the bench too.
Clowns OUT. Smears OUT. RESIST THE OCCUPATION.

Probably my most enjoyable minor round game I've ever witnessed.
Am I correct in saying Glenelg wasn't that a bad a side that year.

Re: R17 Glenelg v Centrals Saturday 2.10
We weren't a F***ing good one I give you the big tip
Exhibit A, losing to South in the Elim final, SOUTH?????? Yes I know last year too
The game six weeks later at Elizabeth was worse somewhat.
Chance to redeem ourselves, players reminded of that just before they run out. Qtr time six goals down, half time 8 goals down
15 goal loss, Chad Cornes going off his tits asking if anyone wants to work both ways and be accountable? Monday night, no more Rubbers.
In the overall scheme of things we owe Centrals a few humiliations, they've more than got their own back for 1975

The Palindromes have nothing to bust a gut for,
we've got this one done and dusted, probably by around 5 goals.
Pity I won't witness it, I'll be 10 kms off Point Turton in Kevin Sweeney's Reel Screamers boat, pulling in thumping big Whiting.

Yes, I think it was the game Scotty Dutschke broke his leg (you could hear the crack sound on the other side of the oval). I cant remember who the ruckman was but played on the wing. One of the most memorable wins.
More recently (a few years ago) I remember losing a game at the Bay we should have won. Made a good comeback, but I think Nick Holman kicked about 7 points.

Gazzamagoo love your optimism it would be an upset of massive proportions if we won and there hasnt been many upsets in the SANFL this year.
