nice pics Wedgie

I love the one with the the 2 coaches holding the cup, jars is as keen as, and Roy couldn't give a fat rat, almost looked bored as if to say "here we go again..."

That one of the two baldies over the TS Hill Cup is fantastic.

I'm not sure which is giving off more reflection, the cup or their heads!

DB from RPH said it was a great day for bald people!!

SANFL were fantastic, I emailed them asking if it was alright if I took my kids with it being school holidays and they said it would be no probs, even gave them a couple of seats in the corner despite it being a bit cramped plus food and drinks.
My son was stoked as he got to meet Mark Aiston who was keen to stand there and chat to him for 5 mins about wrestling.

Usual sort of questions were asked, Roy Laird said the lack of games in the last 5 weeks is an issue but one he's felt comfortable in addressing. Both coaches praised their supporters and were hoping for a 35k + crowd on Sunday.
Jars is talking to Lonie later today to see what sort of interest he has, Tubby Wintle is confident in proving his fitness at training tomorrow night.
Laird said not getting Westhoff back wasn't an issue seeing as he'd been out of their program for about 15 weeks.
Everyone looking forward to the Rundle Mall gig.
Paul Anderson opened up proceedings saying the SANFL have been very happy with 2007, with a 4% increase in crowds, a great finals series and a fantastic GF coming up.

Oh, while I think about it, it was intersting that Channels 7, 9 and 10 all had cameras there and yet Channel 2 who cover the SANFL didn't. :?

Thats weird, I was rummaging through some old "Football Times" newspapers from 1990 were they said something along the lines of "with 4 weeks to go in the season, the league was dissapointed with the reduction in crowds, with a total of only 550 odd THOUSAND being the attendance for all matches so far in that season".... ahh, they were the days...

All Channels share footage so I imagine the ABC will borrow some footage for the news tonight!

Good that we're seeing a small rise in the crowds.

Wedgie, the ABC may have worked out a deal with one of the other networks to get vision for them. Happens occasionally. Still surprising though.

Well done, Wedgemeister, on that. Must say that, yes, Jars seemed very happy to be there whilst it just looked like 'business as usual' for Roy. I do pray that complacency does not set in!

Was Jars straight down the line today or cracking jokes? Just trying to gain insight to the mood of the conference.

Looking at the pics only, one can draw comparisons between this and the AFL GF press conference. Choco was jovial and relaxed, Bomber business-like and professional. The pictures could be interpreted that way.

Cheers.

Nah Jars was dead serious, wasn't cracking jokes at all.
Most of the photos with a huge grin on his face was what Ray Titus was asking of him for the photos.
Roy also wasn't as stand offish or straight as he appeared in the photos, just pressed the button at wrong times for him I think.

Thanks for that. Funny how the pics tell a different story. The press love to magnify the characters for both of them obviously!

Got some photos of me and smac jr, along with amac, bmac & pmac with the TS Hill trophy a couple of years ago - that's one heavy trophy!
