Tasting Notes

Brewed in the wood.
Aged in the wood.
Drawn directly from the wood.

“What’s it taste like?”.....Absolute puss.

Best enjoyed through missing teeth.

Tasting Notes

Seemingly irrelevant forever, making a resurgence. Jury is still out though on its bonafides.

Best enjoyed at Mt Bulla in August, with a cheese platter.

Given that club died I'd have thought the beer would have been pretty smelly.

Particularly well aged, ancient in fact.

Comparisons made to 3 creatures, perhaps that should be 3 weapon heads.

Pure cats piss.

Last in the series.

Tasting Notes

Extra, extra Bitter since 2017. Pretentious? Absolutely.
Franchise continuously self imploding, entertaining to watch.

Serving suggestion - Tip it down the sink

Moved onto the Pirate Life Stout.
5.6%.
Not a bad drop.
Very very similar to my homebrew dark chocolate ale

Yep, 3 down.
A nice drop, but if I can make similar it's not worth paying $6 can for imo

Went to the pub after today's game. Old Southwark Stout was on tap. A no-brainer.

However half an hour later I didn't feel like I could do another Stout, but I couldn't jump onto the lagers, so I did something I thought I'd never do: I ordered a black-and-tan.

"What beer do you want with that?", asked the barmaid.

Quite the existential question: what beer does one mix into a black-and-tan?

I went with the super dry. Should I have gone with something else?

I serve heaps of black and tans, it's always pale and stout.
If someone asked for Superdry and Stout at my pub I'd jump the bar and punch them!

I have some Cooper's Session Ale atm which is bubbly as hell (goes everywhere when you open it despite no shaking) and when I drink it I swear it's XPA or Sparkling. Probably unrelated but when Dan Murphys got it for me it wasnt in its original carton but the 6 pack and bottles are labelled correctly.

Was definately the wrong beer or a bad batch, finally finished off the carton the other day. Bought a 6 pack tonight when leaving the pub (its called Pacific Pale Ale now) and tasted the way it used to and no exploding beer bottle.
Weird.

Make sure you pour their drink first, or they'll die of thirst while they wait for you to clear the bar ;)

According to Wikipedia is pale beer mixed with stout....so Wedgie is 100% correct.

Also classified as a cocktail [emoji848]

Neighbours rolled in with Smiling Samoyed IPA
Fairly light IPA at 6.8%

The bottle says it features Simcoe, centennial, mosaic hops to produce reissonous, citrus and stone fruit flavours upfront with a balanced butter finish.

Those hops give off a beautiful aroma.
I didn't get much of the bitter finish, which is fine by me.

It's a very solid beer, probably a good entry level styled IPA for someone like me.
Thoroughly enjoyable.

It's their beer for draught, VB, Carlton Draught drinkers who don't go for the bigger craft stuff they do. It's drinkable, no issues there.

Sounds like my kind of beer.
I’ll have to try it
