I’d drink WED before a craft beer.... hardly a glowing recommendation.

You can have your blueberry milkshake, hot cross bun, fruchoc, licorice, oyster flavoured beers, I'm not in the slightest bit interested.

I love beer, I mean I f*cking love it and I've tried literally hundreds of beers and of course I don't like them all and unless you blokes have tried every beer on the market you can't tell me "craft is shit" and, I'd love your definition of "craft"?

I’ve tried plenty.
And been to plenty of craft breweries as well.

I’ve found some I like but more that I don’t like.
But the ones I do like don’t compare to a good ol’ draught beer like WED or Carlton.

The problem lies within your solution. I’ve tried craft beers, and so far everyone of them, without exception has been awful. So while I haven’t tried all of them I’m happy that my sample size it accurate (for my taste) for the remainder. Good money after bad, I will have a Carlton Draught or a Corona, simples.

This is where "craft" is so misrepresented. If you drink water then any of the "craft" brewery lagers you'd drink. To think "craft" means blueberry sour, or Xmas pudding or chocolate milk shake isn't true. Most small batch brewers make something for those who prefer dish water, they have too.

If it's served up by some bloke with a man bun, it's craft & tastes like passiona mated with a nasturtium.
I demand WED, Caaaaaaaarlton Draught from the tap, VB and my favourite, Southwark Bitter.
I love the "romance" of boutique breweries but deary me, the jizz they put in some of these fandangled new aged frothies is amazing!
I go to Robe every Xmas for 10 days & I've made the brave decision to NOT go to the Robe Brewery anymore, out of 27 beers there's MAYBE 2 I'd buy in a pub to drink.
FFS, they even make a beer out of fu**ing WHALE SNOT!!

I'm the same as you mate, I'll give them a whirl while I'm there but I like my beer to taste like beer otherwise I'd select a spirit or wine that sounds appealing to me.

I find them too expensive to grab a 6 pack to try, I might not like it half a can/echo in and then I'd have to go back and grab something else, I'm more of a conservative selector, I'm the same going out for dinner, I like to go with what I know, we all have different palate's so I don't judge for others, they generally aren't for me.

I did enjoy a session at the Big Shed a while back, had to push through a couple of beers that didn't agree with totally but found a couple that I enjoyed, the food was immaculate, a pizza with a couple of ribs chucked on top was an experience.

More ambergris than amber fluid?

FWIW I'll happily drink craft beer - provided that it looks, smells and tastes like beer.

So to summarise WED drinkers are offended that non WED drinkers don't like the stuff, but then do exactly the same with Craft Beer?

Imagine if we were all the same and how boring that would be.

My brother in law, is a big craft beer fan, loves the stuff. A few Christmases ago he came down to Melbourne, and we went up to the Yarra Valley for a nice arvo of wine tasting. Turns out there is damn near as many craft brewers up there as wineries. So we popped into about 3 or 4 over the course of the day, sampled the wares. He grabbed a 6 pack from each one of what he thought was the best drop. 3 days later he was tipping them down my sink!

Yep, I will stick to the mass produced stuff..... with the exception of WED.

Ha! If you have to put lemon in a beer doesn't that make it "craft"?
