The outside desperately needs some urgent TLC. Hopefully I can get inside for a beer one day.Booney wrote:Wedgie wrote:Railway Hotel down at Port Adelaide, a great little quaint pub to see a band, I'm in for a good afternoon, meal was good too!
There's plenty of bigger, flasher pubs in the Port but the Railway is a ripping little spot that still has the old Port Adelaide feel about it, lovely owners too.

On another note WTF is going on with the Globe? Construction hasn't moved for almost 18 months. Developers got cold feet?

The parks basically empty. The delightful hum of a mobility scooter motor to raise you out of bed.
A coffee on the deck while you watch guys struggle not to jack knife their trailer trying to back the boat down the boat ramp. Commentating the whole thing to the missus, different voices per character and all.
The mostly empty bistro, where you can listen to the old prick on the next table tell the other old pricks where hes driven his camper lately.
The tradie in the cabin next to you audibly argue with his Mrs on the phone while he has his 8th dart of the night on his deck.
Ah, the serenity.
In all seriousness, it was a good time. The grey nomads are my spirit animals. Also took the Ranger on the scenic drive and hit up the brewery in Minlaton.
Already thinking about the next trip.

Never a bad time to head to Yorkes. We’re off to Pt Victoria next month, can’t come soon enough.

It was nothing spectacular, just a trial match to brush the cobwebs off, now looking to up the ante.

We have 3 slow cookers, regularly all on the go at once.
Double & triple batches to fill the chest freezer.

Beef & stout, vindaloo, chicken tikka, pulled pork shoulder, beef ragu.
We even found a recipe for hot chocolate which we did at one my daughter’s birthdays. Everyone at the party grabbed the recipe & now also uses it.
