Re: R9 Centrals v Eagles Saturday 1410
Justin Hoskin has copped a 4 game ban, reduced down to 3 weeks with an early guilty plea, for striking Eagles youngster Zane Williams.
Come Round 14 when he is due back, he would have spent 5 of the last 7 weeks suspended, not including the Dogs mid-season bye.
Is arguably Central's best player but he is without doubt their most undisciplined as well. Needs to reign in his frustrations.

Re: R9 Centrals v Eagles Saturday 1410
Any mention of reports on the two eagles players who ran in afterwards and biffed Hoskin? One definitely connected with a fist to the jaw. If the ump saw the first incident, he was Johnny on the spot for the next one.
Hoskin's 3 week sanction is the appropriate "what he deserved". The rough justice of revenge/retaliation needs its own report. The tribunal can roll the tape on for 30 seconds and get it all sorted.

There was an incident in the first quarter which I didn’t see which I assume judging on comments around me involved Hoskin and Lonergan. Whatever happened Hosko was filthy…can anyone throw any light on that?
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

Dumb thing to do with 2 minutes remaining. I watched the digital and the commentators said the book come out during the melee.

All that could be seen on the pass was the Centrals players getting stuck into Lonergan

Agree, from the limited bits of footy ive seen this year Hoskin seems a very frustrated man.
Seems to be very frustrated with the lack of ability or footy smarts of his teammates. Noticed on a few occasions the arms go in the air, the head shake when the ball hasn't come out his way.
Also seems to be some frustration that maybe his lost a tad of speed and that leap as age catches up with him. Can't quite do what he once could albeit he is still a valuable player.
Also wondering if the multiple roles he is playing including across half back is causing some of his angst. I wonder if that was a Thommo decision or a mutual agreement. The coincidence of him being suspended so much as his playing a different role suggest that may be a source of frustration.

Eagles supporters should just be thankful that Angus Poole was safely tucked away on the sidelines with an injury

Perhaps the two predictables can comment that the umpires turned a blind eye to the Eagle players being reported.

Re: R9 Centrals v Eagles Saturday 1410
Just saw the incident on facebook
.
Very surprised he is appealing...for mine 3 is on the lenient side.
Extremely reckless, high, and swinging arm resulting in injury.
Cant stand when someone tries to complete a football act eg sheppard and they essentially get belted

If he is appealing they should increase the penalty to 5 games like it deserved, whacking a young kid is despicable. Hope he gets what he deserves.

Eagles supporter I work with went to the match & said Lonergan belted a Centrals player off the ball & a few tried getting even with him for the rest of the match.

Doesn't excuse Hoskin.
With our limited amount of quality players at the moment, it was a dumb thing to do.

If he is appealing and does not win its automatically 4 games. The 3 games were if he accepted the decision.

Typical act of a struggling, undisciplined scrubber club.

Some would say it’s better to have had glory days that have finished than not to have had them at all….Hoskins actions very difficult to excuse or justify but as alluded to it appears the sniping wasn’t confined to one set of colours…

Typical comment from a jealous tosspot. Wonder what you said about that p@#$^ Grocke ending Magarey medalist Brad Symes career.

A club with no backbone, that whimpers to the AFL.
