I am so drained.

Fantastic win North. Thought we were shot in the 1st half. Everytime we looked like coming back, the Eagles hit us with a sucker punch..
Then up steps ouor secret weapon Shannon Motlop. Been very quiet for weeks, carrying an injury that has taken an eon to clear up. Thought Motlop, Coulter turned the game in the 3rd.

Brilliant North
Unlucky Eagles

I am stoked
I am wrecked
I am going to get p1ssed. Beer for breakfast followed by a divorce

PS

And looking forward to Mickyj's post on monday WooHoo

Oh dear...my favourite score posters...JTC and BDP go head to head in the GF...don't suppose I can hope for a draw can I ?

JAS

66...SANFL scoreboard gives the score as:

North 18-14-122
Eagles 15-6-96

Thanks JAS. Was on line on the Roost. Typing got worse as the game went on. Nearly lost it at one time.

I feel drained

Want to come on here and rant and rave out out of frustration, but that's footy, you win some and you lose some.

Today the better side won an exciting game of footy, and now the best two teams are in the GF.

Objectively, Eagles were the 3-4 best side, but there have been plenty of teams who have won the GF as such. The momentum we built, starting with the gutsy win at Alberton with a team of kids, I thought we had a big show of going all the way. Alternative argument to that is we were 5 goals up twice against North at about the same time, and lost both.

Vince and Salter were very good, and Cicca was a lot better than last week. Treeby, who has been good all year, had a bad one. Powell didn't have his usual influence. Fairclough tried hard, but outclassed. Hier beaten. Seemed as though North deliberately kept the ball away from McKenzie's opponent and tried to exploit Hier and Pedler, and unfortunately this is what happened.

Gill, Alleway good. Motlop hasn't done a thing for ages, then turned the game in the third quarter.

Wedgie, you always said this year you thought the North had the Eagles measure. Proved right again, what a bastard!!

Well done North, would like to see you win. Eagles will be back better next year.

What a great competition we have.

Full credit to NAFC thoroughly deserved victory today and all the best for the GF next week. I hope you are able to take it right up to the dogs next week. Comiserations to my Eagles we will only get better next season. Bad luck today our legs didn't hold out.

The Eagles looked in control until about 1/2 through the 3rd and then Motlop, Younie and co turned it on and the Eagles looked spent all of a sudden

It was a great game to watch, high standard and intensity - credit to both sides. Eagles not disgraced I thought they had us.

Congratulations to North on the win and good luck next week. Was great to hear the tribute to Wedgie on Life FM. Phil spoke volumes for you, Wedgemeister.

Congrats North, Commiserations Eagles.

We can all agree - what a ball-tearer of a finals series this has been! Should be an absolute top match next week.

I'll pin my colours to the mast now - North in an upset...
My child is growing up without SANFL footy. It gives me the double blues.
