4 goals total across all 4 grades! Very concerning for Victor who normally have pretty good numbers across all grades. Heard that Willunga had to top them up in the senior colts can anyone confirm the amount they needed to help Victor fill a team? Something seriously gone wrong at Victor if this is the case.
Actually if you count the Womens and u17's girls the total goals 5 in 6 grades. Their women's side has lost their first three matches on average by 130 points.

They then distribute points accordingly and this is how equalisation policies can be put in place to give clubs less than 15 and some clubs more. For example, in 2021 Langhorne Creek has 9 points and Yank have 18 points.
The GSFL would definitely be contravening SACFL Rules if they allowed more than 150 points across the league hence why their only solution, which may still be a contravention, is to run with the alternative.
I didn't think where a player lives has any relevance to what points they are allocated. And if it did then the GSFL shouldn't have to be sending that message to clubs.
Ah that makes sense, wasn't aware of how it worked at a high level. Is the GSFL making its own rules then in this case?

Not quite the case. In the past the GSFL points have been allocated based on the average wins over the last 3 seasons.
not sure how they are factoring in 2020 (half season) though.
Round 1 points: LC: 4 of 9 Ya: 18 of 18 (with a colt at -1) MC: 11 of 11 (with a colt at -1. Perhaps the player is Haniford. 1 point yet was new in 2020?) Go: 14 of 17 My: 8 of 17 (with a colt at -1) McL 10 of 11 St: 13 of 13 EB: 4 of 13 Wi: 4 of 11 VH: 0 of 13

Compass recruited knowing their points situation and that at full strength someone would have to miss out.
How long has this last minute decision by the league been in the making? Was it discussed at a delegates meeting amongst the clubs?
My understanding is that clubs had to have all applications to challenge the clubs points allocations by the end of November for the upcoming season. Can anyone confirm this?
grasshopper. Haniford was 3 points last season so should be 2 points this season. Mt Compass still played a senior colt last Saturday who became a -1 point so they could play Haniford and they still have a points players in the B's. Can we expect another Friday night call. Don't go out and buy players you can't fit into your points and expect to get exemptions.

The player would be M Scrypek ? ( he must of bought a caravan and parked it at Compass thus his home )

Pretty sure Skrypek was Cleared there last year. He might be the player mentioned in FB that didn’t play but is now 2 points this year. Haniford was 3 last year and is now 1. ...
Haniford moved to Compass about 18 months ago. I imagine he is the player they have applied for a one reduction. Why not apply for the 2020 season? My guess is points wasn’t an issue back then. This would be why he’s gone from 3pts in 2020 to 1pt in 2021.
Regardless, this points adjustment isn’t on Compass - they simply asked/applied. This is a bullshit move by the GSFL to approve it without consultation with Clubs let alone notifying them.
Where Mount Compass could be at fault is playing Skrypek as a 2pt player when I believe he should be 3pts. This would then lead to ramifications foe the Club surely.

while Victor could be struggling - although I have heard they’ve met/or are meeting with James Boyd and Seb Guilhaus. Considering the League just approved a $5000 loan for the club, they must’ve found $20k+ in the back pocket if they’re looking at recruiting these two.
We have our own Damien Barrett reporting in the GSFL. Clearances pending for the above. They'll help reduce the deficit, but Boyd wouldnt be a great mentor for the young kids coming through

You’re welcome haha

8.6.2. A registered player who achieves 25 Matches (without transferring) for the same Affiliated League Club will reduce one (1) additional point the following season after achieving 25 Matches.
Sky cheque, yep signed last year, covit season no money. Didn't play a game must be 3 points, unless Mt Compa$$ got that through. So do clubs run out sign players up this year for next season and get them for 2 points next year.

Ahh yes had forgotten about that. Remember it being same for Alleway IIRC.

I’m sure Victor will be hoping that Boyd will be better for their culture than what Alleway was.
