Surely the league would not have another farcical outcome like what happened a few years ago. think it happened in d3 and d6? being dropped to 16 rounds because someone pulled out and they refused to force teams up. pretty sure when it happens in d3? (could have been d2 i forget) they copped all sorts of backlash on it.
Simple, someone pulls out, teams have to be forced up into the next division, otherwise you pretty much call all sorts of problems with clubs fund raising, their events, etc etc

16 round seasons with 8 teams and a top 4 sounds absolutely lovely to me.
How good finishing up a couple weeks early!

Was it when Brighton came in? Only one team could go up from d4 down I reckon?!
Without knowing anything about Hectorville and St Paul’s, they’d be given first option I would assume but in a COVID year did they get many players from leagues that didn’t play? Are they staying or going back?

I’m not to sure either where those clubs are at the moment. I guess it’s on the respective clubs to weigh it up. Do Ok or maybe have a tough year in div5 or compete high in div6 and build on your success to go in to div5.
But who bloody knows! It’s been a weird year or so
If you’d fancy your chances of playing in a D6 GF then you’d be mad not to go up even at last minute. It’d be highly likely you won’t get relegated - Most teams that play in GF’s one year and then go up only to struggle are clubs that don’t have an A grade side that is as strong as their previous year.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
I reckon both Hectorville and St Pauls fee they are good enough to play D5. I heard that Hectorville were pushing to get into D5 before Rosewater and Smithfield troubles. And St Pauls have been pretty ambitious from the start when they first started up again in 15 they were trying to start in D6.
Most likely result if both Rosewater and Smithfield go out would probably be 1 up to each of Div 5 and 6, leaving 9 teams in each and a 6 team Div 7 which I'm pretty sure happened not too long ago.

We would jump at the chance to go up I'd imagine. Won the premiership in both A's and B's (B's two in a row) so have the depth to be competitive.
Rosies haven't been around for over 100 years for no reason. They're a proud club, and they're not going anywhere, not this year anyway.
They might not be so competitive but that's a given if they were supposed to go down last year (and the year before as well but were saved by Westies being booted I think)
so Play on..

and as for you, They can’t “make” anyone do anything in this case and especially after last year when who knows how everyone has been affected by CV19. I'm pretty sure you'd be having a whinge if you were forced to go up without any prior opportunity to prepare or recruit.
