We only have five Hogg divisions in 2021 as COVID took a big hit of some of our regular numbers. We do have a Hogg interchange league for any latecomers so if you want a place in that league please PM me and I'll send you the code. If you are a latecomer or an existing coach that hasn't joined our SuperCoach group please join the group code 40132 as I won't be posting a rankings thread this year so the group membership is how your score is recorded and how you might pinch a promotion next year.

Hey REB just wondering why you want to get the leagues finalised starting next week. I thought the leagues were auto-filled at the end of Round 2 so don't you have until then?

Not a criticism, just thinking if I also need to get a wriggle on with my bigfooty promotion/relegation leagues

Because I don't want the leagues autofilled FISH. I have a deadline because then I offer the spots to the players in the leagues below. Not sure how you run yours but what I do is this.

1. Send out a zillion invites
2. Crack that shits at the same dozen coaches that don't join early every year
3. Replace the coaches that pull out
4. Set the deadline
5. Offer promotions based on points scored from the year before
5a. Coaches must have played at least one season of Hogg Division I before they can be promoted to Premier League
5b. You can 'skip' a league if you score well enough the season before (except Div I). The reason I do this is that the lower scoring side hasn't earned the promotion by qualifying directly so they aren't losing 'their' spot.
6. Organise the new coaches
6a. Returning coaches are placed in the best available league but not Premier
6b. New coaches go straight into Divvvy IV regardless of score. If we are short a division they might go into Divvy III if they are big scorers like one side that wants to join.
7. Invite all of the rest to fill out Divvy V which is usually last. I haven't even invited the Divvy V coaches yet but will do so soon so they don't opt out

Goal is give everyone a gig who wants to play and reward the coaches who come back year after year in order of scoring performance.

I'm doing similar and currently have about 16 coaches who have gone AWOL. I was going to make the deadline the start of Round 1 then shuffle people up to fill leagues - this assumes that leagues are not autofilled until Round 3 is that your understanding?

Don't know FISH because I always fill my leagues. 16 is about right for this time of year. Even using a deadline system I haven't had too many coaches signup late.

If you scored well last year there is a big chance for a Hogg Promotion on Friday afternoon as eleven coaches have yet to sign up this season. Keep your eyes on mailboxes and PMs because once the deadline passes it's a first come first served type of scenario as I try to fill the leagues. Take note @raymond and @bd u15 09 because as it stands you will be promoted to Premier League on Friday night if @LMA and Sluders (@CoverKing)don't sign up.

For several of the gun scorers from Div II last season you are looking good things to go up a division this year even though you fluffed your lines in the finals last year. We have 85 coaches signed up so far so looking to fill out the last few spots of Divvy IV and no Divvy V this season.
