There is plenty in the wicket, so not easy to survive against bowlers the quality of Yadav and Ashwin. Green should be out, dropped a 2nd slip ..... a sitter, but he's still in. It's good to see conditions favouring bowlers for a change.Corona Man wrote:Aust A now 5/98...... its like none of these batters want to play for Australia.

That was a dead set sitter slips catch, he is certainly making the most of his chance, good on himSenor Moto Gadili wrote:There is plenty in the wicket, so not easy to survive against bowlers the quality of Yadav and Ashwin. Re: Australian International Summer 2020/21
How good! Rode his luck (as posted above that dropped catch at Second slip was an absolute soda lol) and got runs at exactly the right time. I just watched the highlights, his back foot punch drives are class shots and great to watch. Had good support from Paine and they put on 104 for the sixth wicket digging Aus A out of a hole. Paine out to the short ball again but he was a great catch from Prithvi Shaw and just on Shaw, geez he is tiny! He copped the full force of a Cam Green pull shot as Green smoked it right into him fielding at short leg while Ashwin was bowling.Brodlach wrote:Green gets a ton

I'd like to think so too but I think Wade is more of a lock IMO considering he isn't playing in this tour match.Jim05 wrote:Why?Lightning McQueen wrote:Gee, Travis' arse cheeks might be quivering a bit atm.

CA is known to pull one out from left field in recent years and Green is NIL, especially if Warner comes up fit and there are no forced changes.

You probably would, Burns is way out of sorts atm, the trouble with being out of form is the pressure that builds up every time you bat, it puts you further behind the 8 ball.

You would think but they have pretty much announced that Joey will get the nod over Will and as much as I'd prefer it, I can't see Wade being left out for Green.whufc wrote:Would have to think the team will be

I would hope they pick Green, imo his and Wade's batting are on about par but at least Green will give us a bowling option if only to get through 5 over and give the pacemen a half an hour more rest. I reckon this might be crucial against India who will bat time on top of the short turn around of test. I think the advantage for Green is with Starc not in form we don't have the pace depth we had so the ability to rest bowlers and bring in fresh ones may not be there.

Re: Australian International Summer 2020/21
Only because Wade is required for the white ball squad. The fact Head is captain of this Aus A team whilst Paine is in the team shows they have Head right in their thinking for the future. He will be there first test.Lightning McQueen wrote:I'd like to think so too but I think Wade is more of a lock IMO considering he isn't playing in this tour match.Jim05 wrote:Why?Lightning McQueen wrote:Gee, Travis' arse cheeks might be quivering a bit atm.

If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Wade is fighting with Green for a spot and Burns/Pucovski for the openers spot unless Warner doesn’t come up and they play both

As I said before, I hope that is the case, Head did lose the Australian vice captaincy, as did Carey in the T20 side.David Brent wrote:
