It's been an interesting year, business wise. How has everyone else faired?

We (my work) have actually had a damn good 2020 so far, in comparison to 2019. Covid, while frustrating, has not overly affected us.

That said I know I have missed some opportunities, in particular overseas through not being able to travel. I hope that in 2021 we can travel again, so I can re-gain some bits of lost territory. One of my competitors in NZ, have an ex All Black as the Sales Rep....... the locals think he is some type of god. That aside I get a fair bit more work than he does.

Other than some delays in raw materials from the biggest country in Asia we haven't noticed any drop off.

Importing delays, from competitors have been good news for us. Now to sandbag the gains we have made, post Covid. Putting plans in place around that now.

My back yard crop* this year.

Tomatoes, corn, capsicum, basil, strawberries, all of them are kicking goals. Put them in late September and they've gone mad. Had to add 1.8m high stakes to the tomatoes as they've already outgrown the 1.2m high ones. Corn looks like something out of a bloody gardening show.

Maresi!

And you have plenty of cable ties to affix the vines to the stakes... :D

Anyone who grows tomatoes knows you use old stockings for their flexibility.

My old neighbour had tomato plants growing behind his shed.
Not sure why as he had plenty of space elsewhere!

Beer O'Clock!
Feel mildly productive after working till 2.30am last night, getting up and doing all the gardening, returning my bottles (and getting over $55 for them!) buying a new carton and now just sitting down to my first ale, can have a few too as don't start till midday today!
Beautiful day out there today, almost enjoyed the gardening!
If only the weather stayed like this all summer.

On Friday I became a dad for the second time, a son this time....Elijah.

i have already asked Golden Grove to bring my #37 out of retirement ready for him to wear in a few years.

on a side note, today is the 14 year anniversary of being with my wife, since it first because "official" and i forgot till she messaged me just now.

so i am probably only going to get to see him every second weekend after tonight.................
