Traded to Adelaide so they get off of the St Kilda books.
Saints are chasing McKernan so need the coin :)

That’s how I took it so deal would be

Adelaide
Get Webster, Dunstan and Pick 2

Give Crouch and a late pick

Yes and if the ICAC don't investigate the deal they might as well disband.

Yeah I struggle to see how it works.

If they lose Crouch on his own, that's not enough to get pick to.

However, if they recieve two players in exchange for Crouch, the compensation goes up, not down????

Adelaide lose crouch as a free agent and receive compo of pick 2.
They then do a separate trade for the 2 players for later picks.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

St Kilda say to Crouch 5 years x $550k. That isn't high enough for Adelaide to get pick 2, would be pick 19.

St Kilda say to Adelaide, take these two blokes ( let's say on $350k each ) and we'll up the Crouch offer to 5 years x $700k and that means you get pick 2 instead of pick 19.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

I am sure Brad Crouch's manager presented him a deal that was $100k / year less per year than he is on atm. This guy could sell ice to Eskimo's if that's the case or Brad is totally dumb. Those reports are totally press driven. I can believe the second part that a player is involved to free up St Kilda's cap.

Adelaide and Crouch have made it Incredibly clear for the last 5-6 weeks that Crouch ideally wants to stay on his terms at Adelaide, however if the right offer comes along personally for Crouch Adelaide aren’t going to hold him back as long as they get adequate compensation. Crouch has “Found” his new destination which shows all parties that there has been an agreement found and that it’s moved quickly so far. Keep in mind this bloke has no bargaining chips right now to force the Crows hand...

Josh Dunkley has apparently told the Dogs he wants to be traded to Essendon.
Still contracted for 2 years so going to cost us big time in the event the Dogs even consider letting him go

Most Port fans I know would give us a pick to take Bonner!

It is what it is though. Take it and move on. With well over $2m of salary cap space to bank we can throw some cash at Dunkley and others and shake a few trees

Dunstan will be good value. Good player, just been I injuried.

Not a trade all up as such, Well part is but yeah out of aloof that you come out in front. No doubt. I mean so do the Saints, Webster and Dunstan for Crouch.

Might be draft tampering if it was part of the draft
