The announcement came a few days after the club revealed Josh Gould had decided to step aside from the role.

How many HWE and Balak lads found temporary clubs for 2020? I think I seen few familiar names for Bute from Balaks.

Question is, how many will return? Some are quite happy with their new clubs.

Blyth Snowtown had around 9 Balak and HWE senior players and around 10 in the Juniors aswell.
Id say most of the senior players will return as they know how vital is it to return to their clubs, but the juniors could be a different ball game. Most of the players are in the BS greater zone and i have heard most of the parents were very impressed with the facilities at BS along with the standard of senior football and also not having to play teams like Virginia or AV in our league. Close training's at Blyth and Snowy compared to traveling to Wakefield is also a big drawcard.

Also not having to play teams like Virginia and Angle Vale...….. Didn't Virginia make the GF in senior football this year??? AV would be up there with the best junior results over past few seasons so unsure of this reference....please elaborate..

I would hazard 2 guesses - neither would be related to either club's ability to play football

At Blyth-Snowtown were 4 Balak B Graders, 2 HWE SC's, 3 HWE JC's and 1 Balak JC. These include the sons of the HWE President, Vice-President and Treasurer so fair chance they will all be going back to their original clubs.

This is our leagues biggest risk. Losing teams to North Eastern. Due to covid it has given some players from different clubs an experience of not having to deal with crap every second week and just play footy every week.
Having said that I thought Virginia were much improved to play against this year, and the crowd was much improved too. (Based on our single game against them and not the crowd in the grand final)
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Junior and Senior Colt numbers for a couple of clubs are a concern. It’s not good for anyone’s development if every second week the mercy rule has to be implemented

The country towns aren't getting any bigger, Angle Vale, Two Wells and Virginia all are growing though.

Will his replacement be a familiar face?

Think back to a former player currently coaching elsewhere

Story around about two clubs who have or will apply to the SANFL for a change of Leagues, APFL to the NEFL.

This story has been coming up 30 years, was strongly touted back in the late nineties, but the Netball is the sticking point.

Who are the two you’ve heard?

Would be a shame if the APFL was at risk by two clubs moving. Would be good to see all comps thriving.

Presuming Balak are one, they already play their cricket in the Clare region and they also had a few play up here this year so I guess they might be keen

Have heard the same thing I think the league maybe using it as a back up plan if either
HWE or BALAK choose to enter the NEFL comp.

True.....maybe HWE or BALAK have heard the rumour as well which is causing them to potentially discuss moving. Not sure eitherside would be interested in a trip to Salisbury West even from purely a travel point of view.

It would be up to the clubs not the exec to let them in I would've thought.

Was up to the clubs to accept Bute playing in 2020 but was over ruled by the execs in the end.
