Which Parks? Three of them were there because of Covid cancelling their season this year. Knaggs has gone to play back at home in Tantanoola.

On coaching appointments, congratulations must go out to Steven Webster On taking over the reigns at Uni and Mark Telfer supported by his son James taking over at Mitchell Park. Seems the whispering walls of the Woolshed strike again. Bit rough on two coaches who made finals to be sacked.

No statements will be made until all of the coaches (As and Bs) have been spoken to and the season reviewed.

Because that's the respectful and decent thing to do.

So you are saying the decent thing to do is to make a decision on the coaches before the club has reviewed the season? Interesting way to look at it.

We were planning on having the review in person first but then some utter pin dicks decided to sprout private and confidential discussions publicly and on here, meaning the process we were following had to be rejigged.

Once the club has a formal position sa footy will be the first to know. Anyone stating anything before that is simply rumour mongering and gossiping, and are being completely unfair to the individuals involved.

So you were having a review but a decision was already made. If you wanted the opportunity to speak to him first you shouldn’t have players talking about it before he knows. I don’t understand why you don’t just say it as it is that the coach was blindsided by some people in the playing group. You know that’s what happened.

The last thing I will say is, the coach wasn’t told of a decision made last Thursday so he could attend the B&F as the A grade coach where he spoke about next year and moving forward with the group. On another note, I’d like to congratulate old mate morell on being awarded life membership on Saturday night at the club he loves more dearly than most others love theirs. A fantastic recognition to a loyal, dedicated and most deserving Lion champion.

Thanks mate. They got me a good one. Was supposed to speak about Matthew Davidson being given the nod and had that all prepared, but turned into an absolute blubbering mess and could barely mutter a word - bit embarassing. What that man has done for the club considering all that's going on in his world is nothing short of incredible. No one more deserving.

Then they gave me the nod too. Bastards.

I don't care what anyone says, Mitchell Park is an important and special place. It's not for everyone, granted, but for those that are lucky enough to have it part of their lives it becomes so much more than a location where people kick and catch a ball. For me the people in that room Saturday are family. It is the greatest honour of my life.

Can't forget the beautiful Anjuli Weekley too, who has slaved away behind the scenes as treasurer for over a decade. The third female life member in our history.
