Palmerston front and back nine. Darwin front and back and Gardens Park just the nine.

Best round was a 54, worst was a 67.

Can I say unless you are over 60 or have a designated medical handicap what's the point of a motorised buggy. Defeats the whole purpose of the objective to get some exercise in.

keen to have another hit soon

Will post a photo later tonight of a hazard warning sign up here....

Bit hard to carry an esky full of piss while pushing a buggy mate.

Here's me thinking one of the joys of golf is to enjoy a beers after the round.

Cant recall seeing one esky on the carts I saw up here!

I have my own buggy and I have never played a round without having an esky on the back.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Played Compass yesterday and it was a battle. Considering the rain, particularly from Saturday, the course held up pretty well. Bit soft in places but not muddy. Greens in great nick, just wish people would occasionally repair divots....

Stroke round too made it tough!! (Blame the author for that!) Ended with a 93 for Nett 82. Was tough hanging on to the clubs at times, but a lot of excuses for some poor golf.

Did have plenty of hilarity. One of our group had 7 off the tee on the 12th. Another muscled a ball straight into someones house front door on the 2nd on his way to a 15. Watched another group trying to retrieve an umbrella in the lake on the 2nd. Adverse conditions always bring a laugh.

Could be my last hit for a while as kids footy is coming back.

Funny Enough we'd all agreed to a 10 mercy rule but old mate was determined to finish the hole...

Was expecting high 20's, not sure how they work it that low, I havnt played to it once.
Oh well.
You have only put 3 cards in..... they are using the 94 as the handicap score....

Will it change after I put in my 4th and so on or do I have to wait until 8 cards are put in. Ideally I would love to get to 18 ( shot a hole) I am not there yet.
As long as it doesn't look like a mistake as I am genuinely shocked it's that low!

If you really want to go down the rabbit hole of how its calculated check here, can get pretty complicated as its not just an average of your lowest scores.

https://www.golf.org.au/whs/

With your 94, assuming that is on a par 72 course a really basic calculation of your "played to" is 22 multiply that by 0.93 = 20.5 but depends on where you played and what tees (slope rating). The harder the course the higher the adjustment. Also takes your stableford score for the round not stroke so if you had a few double bogeys or worse it adjusts for that as well. Because you've only submitted 3 cards there is a -2 adjustment as well which gets you pretty close to the 18.9. You need 6 rounds before it averages your best 2 and goes up from there.

As an example I'm off 10.2 but have only broken 80 once in my 20 rounds, think only 2 of my 8 rounds are under the number.

Thanks. That explains it better. I just assumed it would be an average of the 3 until after 8 when it wouldn't count your worst one and so on. Also makes more sense if it's a stableford score as I tend to have 1 or 2 blowup holes each week. Had two 9,s on the weekend both times I put 2 out of bounds off the tea so really had a 5 on both par 4,s if you take out the 4 penalty shots on each of those holes.
See how I go over the coming weeks!

LOL- that reminded me- one of the lads swished a rabbit hole on the edge of a bunker on the 10th too!!

We let him have a free drop in the bunker for the entertainment.

Ducked out for a hit this arvo.
I've added some lead tape to my clubs during the week, so I can feel more weight down by the head of the club.
A few practice swings has found to be a positive in my awareness.

So out we go in the hope practice can prove worthwhile. Scoring wasn't a high priority and well some efforts made sure of that.
Some greenside chips would land just a fraction too far and roll out a mile....i only get backspin on the X golf simulators...[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]

Anyway, off the tee was solid with the driver, which I've made 9.5 now.
The 21° - 4 hybrid...is a club i had battled with....but wowee, today was beautiful centred solid connection. So theres a win.
Most irons i felt an improvement in.

No adjustments to the putter....and i am the worlds worst putter which showed a few times today but erased from 2 lovely lenghty par putts and a 12ft birdie putt...

So onto tomorrow, feeling somewhat content that the shot shape im aiming for will come out to play.....well i live in hope...

Had a hit at Lady Bay, rusty as was to be expected, course in good nick and always a challenge and enjoyable, however the greens were pretty bumpy and have certainly seen better days which I was disappointed with, they have historically been excellent.

So Monthly Medal yesterday off the Blacks at Vines.
Thought I'd experiment and threw in a combo of 3 sets that ive owned, dating back to '99.
I had done a few practice swings with them during the week and they felt ok.

The 2 big highlights

So the 2nd (11th) hit a push fade into the trees, all under trees is cleared out nicely, but lost ball.
Run back to tee, hit a popper. Then as my bag was still 50m ahead hit a driver off the dirt[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]
Then get to 5th (15th) and i generally do aim at the trees on the mound on the right. I dont mind taking it on and playing pinball. Well it bounced on some hard shit on top of that hill separating 5th fairway....should have fed back down to the fairway but....goneski[emoji849][emoji849][emoji849]ffs and reload we go...

So the big let down was the Driver, really battled with it all day, just seemingly wanted to slice the bastard more than normal
What a game[emoji3][emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]
Atleast I made Bradman proud and tonned up....

Played in the open day at balaklava today. Havnt played for a month after putting in my cards 6 weeks back to get my handicap.
27 hole stroke comp ended up 136 off the stick 49, 44 and 43. Pretty happy with that.
Ended up 3rd in the b grade net over 27 holes and winning the 9 hole net.
Plus won 2 nearest the pins, 1 for B Grade and 1 for all grades.
Got my stock up of balls now!!!

Not quite. I have a handicap and even today I was penalised an extra shot in how they work it out as I only have 6 cards in, so it's average of best 2 rounds minus another point. It might not even come in for my next round, as I will lose the penalty permanently from now as there will be 7 and a half cards in.

Blackwood
Yesterday morning.

Played average. Lost 3 balls, 1 in water and 2 that could have been found, but I wasnt breaking any records so keep on walking[emoji3][emoji3][emoji3] outside of those shots it wasnt too bad.
Conditions werent too bad, it did get a bit windy at times, they have preferred lies up there, but only really needed in a few places.
Bunkers, I found a few of them, but they are probably the best bunkers outside of Lady Bay ive played.
