Partners dad bought the eldest step daughter a first car - got her a VX S sedan.. I was dirty already coz don’t think an inexperienced kid should be driving that sort of car for their first.. none the less car was still purchased “from his work mate”

Had to do school drop off this morning and use the car, halfway to school 1 it shits itself (suspect alternator). So there I am parked on the side of the road at 8am with three kids.

Book taxi, drop eldest to high school, middle to primary, youngest to childcare. $60
Walk from childcare back to the car, still dead.. walk to dial a tow, book tow truck. $120
Wait 90min for tow truck, do some work, get dropped off to mechanic.

Now staring down the barrel of $600 worth of work to the **** piece of shit car I didn’t want her to have in the **** first place all coz pops is a bogan and thinks commodores are bees knees!

To add some gravy I’m now standing in the freezing cold rain waiting for a bus to take me to work so I can catch up on the mountains of urgent work I need to finish.

Absolutely filthy.

I would have had the car dropped in the guys driveway & let him deal with it

Yeah, Pops needs to clean up this mess, starting with a call to his 'work mate.'

Not getting nervous in your Backstairs Passage, are you? ;)

Maybe call in on the Yank Bakery, on your return leg.

M,e I'd get lost at The Victory... 8)
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Did that last week, nothing like waves crashing into the side of the ferry when you are stuck in your car in the hull of the thing

Cant scan to email and then have them scanned back to you. It's 2020 there has to be an easier way.

Unless it’s the Royal Australian Mint it shouldn’t matter should it?
Aren’t electronic signatures part of everyday use now?

You'd be surprised how many industries still dont use this.

Sometimes it takes a while for these things to catch on.

However given how this year has gone some of this innovation might have been sped up.

Surely every business is introducing electronic signatures.

Oh well in 20 years writing and pens won’t be part of the school ciriculum and won’t exist. Why do you need to write in this day and age other than you like to do it. Being able to write with a pen is about as useful as being able to write in cursive.

All documents can be these days except one, its a document that has been challenged in court in recent years so they still haven't found a way around it so has to be signed and explained face to face (or a solicitor needs to witness it $$)

Anyway enjoyable morning, customer was impacted by the fires and we are helping him out so its worth it.

On way home now, she is pretty wobbly :vom:

when you're lined up at servo waiting for the petrol bowser - and the person in front of you gets in the car after paying for their petrol - and then fart arses around checking their hair and face in the mirror and checking their phone, instead of starting the car and driving away.
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit

60 seconds you'll never get back.
