Even the Essendon top up team weren’t 0-12 and actually won 3 games.
Come to think of it the top up team would probably beat our current side :)

I reckon even the 0-22 Sturt side of 1995 would give the current Crows mob a run for their money.

Come on I saw much worse Fitzroy teams in the VFL years and into the 90's.

Since the advent of the AFL Brisbane, Fitzroy, Sydney and Richmond in early '90s were collectively shit.

Once Fitzroy had their death certificate signed they folded up and were pretty average in '95 and '96.

Early 00's St Kilda were puss.

Mid 00's Carlton took the mantle for the worst, then Melbourne challenged them in the late 00's before expansion skewed the comp.

Adelaide are making a case, behind Fitzroy at the moment, as the worst AFL side to date.

But would have we beaten a Div 2 ammo side?

We were horrendous back then and from memory didn't really get close to winning a game.

Looking at the ladder we had 1000 more points scored against us than the second worst defence that year. Sturts % was 32.22

Adelaide are tracking down that path albeit by a reduced % because of the shortened season. Adelaide's % would be 35 if calculated the SANFL way.
