I reduce my hours at work to 12-7 for two weekdays every week and find myself still working during a Cats match!
5pm on a Wednesday AFL? Seriously?

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
It annoys me that my kids mum never watches them play their sports, it also really concerns me that my daughter drives to her own games, mainly because she has no fear and she's as hard as a cats head.
This week was the first time they played at the same time, I felt anxious all day and then sure enough my lad got shoved in the back as he went to pick the ball up and then ended up getting knee'd in the head, he wasn't in a good way.
I was just then telling his GF's mum my concern about them playing at the same time, I rang my daughter as her game was scheduled to finish to see how she went only to discover that she was in the back of an ambulance on her way to the hospital with a broken collarbone having to leave her car at West Lakes.
Parenting is a tough gig at times, you tend to feel their pain.

Tough gig LM
I've never understood how a parent cant take an interest in their kids sport - whether as a spectator, or assisting when needed on weekends.. I hate parents who treat sports clubs like a daycare centre.
My daughters mum has zero interest in sport and supporting it - if she wants to play, I've got to pay for everything then transport for trainings/games - which is almost impossible.
It's created a few problems in recent weeks, with the daughter having a crack at me for not letting her play footy/netball this year, and her wanting to play cricket but not feeling supported.. but what can I do?

Yep, considering with her first two, she would never miss a game or even a training for that matter, I know I get used as she knows I'll just get it done.
Every now and then I'll throw it out there a few days in advance and stay firm "I cannot take you on Sunday, you'll have to tell your mum to sort it out".
I then get back to them that night to make sure they have it sorted and not leaving it to the last minute, it's a lot to do with me being a strange cat, I like being organised well in advance.

Ordered a couple of pizzas from Crust last night. Took 90 minutes to come.
The pizza was excellent. But still, 90 minutes?!

An entertaining game of AFL footy (finally) has distracted me from my cooking duties, an resulted in a significant BBQ flare up on the Ziggy. Is charcoal still considered cancerous?

Re: Things that give you the sh1ts
**** filthy.
Partners dad bought the eldest step daughter a first car - got her a VX S sedan.. I was dirty already coz don’t think an inexperienced kid should be driving that sort of car for their first.. none the less car was still purchased “from his work mate”
Had to do school drop off this morning and use the car, halfway to school 1 it shits itself (suspect alternator). So there I am parked on the side of the road at 8am with three kids.
Book taxi, drop eldest to high school, middle to primary, youngest to childcare. $60
Walk from childcare back to the car, still dead.. walk to dial a tow, book tow truck. $120
Wait 90min for tow truck, do some work, get dropped off to mechanic.
Now staring down the barrel of $600 worth of work to the **** piece of shit car I didn’t want her to have in the **** first place all coz pops is a bogan and thinks commodores are bees knees!
To add some gravy I’m now standing in the freezing cold rain waiting for a bus to take me to work so I can catch up on the mountains of urgent work I need to finish.
Absolutely filthy.
