Under 17 Preliminary Final Port Magpies v Sturt

Postby scott » Sat Sep 22, 2007 5:22 pm

Port Magpies 3.5 5.7 13.15 23.21 (159)
Sturt 2.1 7.1 10.2 11.4 (70)

Incredibly enough, Sturt was leading at about the 15-minute mark of the third quarter, before Port unleashed with one of the most amazing attacking, free-flowing 40 minutes of footy. The Magpies booted 14 of the last 18 goals of the match, including 10.6 to 1.2 in the final quarter.

Next week's Grand Final:
Sunday September 30, 9:15am @ Adelaide Oval
North Adelaide v Port Magpies

Ouch, that's a nasty one. Bad luck for the lads. They did have a good season though, I think we were the only side to have beaten Port during the mior round in that grade.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

when I walked in, it was 9.14, to 10.2, after that it was all Port. Their 4th Q into the wind was amazing, by 1/2 way through the Q it looked like Sturt had thrown the towel in.

Port actually kicked 14 of the last 15 goals.

Eh? I thought that Sturt got beaten by the Mono Sodium Glutenate Pies side in the U17's. Ahhh, I get it now, cheers Scott! :D

I thought that was in the U19s, in which Sturt plays Port in the Second Semifinal tomorrow?
