Haha pretty stiff, poor guys been looking forward to footy all through COVID and pull this stunt.. Strong message from Broadview but how’s the mental health impact on the players who are now being told they won’t be cleared all year, yet won’t let them play at Broadview either!?
they played for Kingston the last 2 seasons so whats Broadview got to do with the clearance
According to the clearance page Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara Football League Glenunga Fisher, Jacob Approved 2020-06-30 2020-07-01
Kowree Naracoorte Tatiara Football League Glenunga Simpson, Brett Approved 2020-06-30 2020-07-01
so both have been cleared to Glenunga
League brought in a new rule for the season due to Covid, players returning to the AdFL must be cleared by the players original club if they are playing for a different AdFL club this season.
Broadview essentially have said these players cannot play football this year.
So Broadview have the right to not approve the clearances for these guys? And they also don’t plan on letting them play for broadview either? Sounds absolutely ridiculous.
Absolutely pathetic that any club at this level would refuse a clearance if the player requesting a clearance is financial. If the player doesn't wasn't to play at your club for whatever reason and they don't owe you any money then grow the f#$@ up and clear them. I can't imagine any successful business not allowing staff to leave and forcing them to either stay where they don't want to be. I would suggest if we look at the club's that refuse clearances we will find they have a habit of being unsuccessful.

But the club has refused to approve the clearance to another club? The boys don’t want to play at Broadview so therefore can’t play at all this season?
TTG 5.10 d Broadview 3.13 Broadview looked very sharp early kicking the first two goals of the game. Heavy rain came in half through the first qtr until half time turning the game into a dour struggle. Gullies scrambled a little better overall to just get up. Two very good A2 sides and it would be good to watch them play in better conditions.

All 3 games there were of good quality and close contests, TTG BBQ absolutely awesome on a cold wet morning

Gotta love the Adelaide Footy League. All those that whinge about the quality of AFL games, do yourself a favour .... get out and support your local club.
Could not agree more, great game in wet heavy conditions. Both sides fought it out to the end.
Three Cracking games between the two clubs.
Special thanks to the TTG Committee for the 1/2 time invite for the drinks and eats. The Pies & Spring rolls helped us all thaw out. Well done boys and was well attended by both committees.
Looking forward to returning the favor when we clash at our ground next.
Good to get back to suburban footy and watch two sides who just want to win.
Gullies may have got the points but we weren't disgraced looking forward to the return clash.
Other than the weather and the 2 losses a top day at the footy.
2017, 2019 & 2020 PREMIERS RICHMOND, RICHMOND, RICHMOND.
Let that be a lesson to you, Port Adelaide Sturt. & Norwood You don't beat Glenelg in Grand Finals and get away with it.

This.
This just doesn't happen enough anymore - it's one of the old school traditions that unfortunately has fallen by the wayside for a lot of clubs.
As far as I know, it's still a firm fixture in most country footy comps.
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit

Henley Reserves have made it a rule that the whole side stick around and have a beer at half time of the A Grade. They do it to support the A Grade but also to give the oppo club some money over the bar.

Every chance that those two sides might meet again come finals.

Former Salis North player Dylan Jessen in hot water again, for same shit that had him booted from the AdFL.
Anyone else find it a little amusing The Advertiser wrote "he fears his reputation (as a former bikie) wont help when he faces the tribunal this week.."
Umm hello bud, it's not your former life as a bikie that'll hurt, it's the fact you've been done before for similar offences.
