Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 7 -2020
Units played purely b graders up until halfway through the second and I’d say after half time they would have outscored
Trinity . Particularly in the last where they would have had 90 percent of the footy and could have kicked ten in the last with some straighter kicking

Would be slightly odd with his dad as coach at Units.

6 teams in this Div now, with Greenacres pulling the pin and HDFC taking the offer to go up to D6 after Lodge and OSB declined.

May as well just merge the 6 teams into the C grade divs.
Good from the Raiders though, hope you're allowed to remain in D6 in 2021.
Piss weak from the Lodge

Greenacres folded or pulled out cause of COVID?

Ridiculous not to take the offer to go up. Sand bagging at its finest.

COVID. Heard they couldn't afford to get the two teams up.

This is no surprise.... They rejected going to div 6 so they could win a flag by 15 goals in a season that doesn't have promotion and relegation attached.
Well done to the brain trusts down there absolutely ridiculous and as someone who has criticised Houghton previously in relation to potential sand bagging - At least they stepped up to Div 6 when given the chance, proof they want to play higher, unlike BL, A joke of a club and have been for 15-20 years

I know season starts next week, but it’s still a trial - what’s the value in pumping a side by 20 goals in a game that counts for nothing?

CRACK! Don’t worry about running for that one as Smokey steps into the line and smokes the ball through the covers, and races away to the boundary.
You won’t see a better shot today.

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 7 -2020
Lol find out the facts before you go bagging the lodge.
When the league tell them regardless you'll be in div 7 next year who would want to go up for one year and then have to go backwards?
As a club that's trying to move forward with alot of decent kids and young talent it would be stupid to go up to 6 and fill the numbers for 10 weeks just to return back to 7. What do u think that might do to some of the kids?
Definately not sandbagging and also want to play as high as possible. Have the youth to push up through the divs over the coming years if they all stick together

Well the league must have told you something different about having to go back to 7 if you went up as that is not what we were told

If the youth is as good as you suggest, and capable of progressing the club through grades then the transition to D6 shouldnt have been a difficult one and would’ve been more than competitive.
As for going back to D7, well i would’ve thought it might actually have been a positive - if the squad knew from the outset that would happen they’d test themselves in a higher div and in 2 months time know they’re in a better position to challenge for the D7 flag in 2021.. I would’ve thought you’d head into next season with greater confidence.
Staying in D7 this year and taking the piss isn’t going to be much good for development and if you Coast through this year I’m sure players will enter 2021 thinking they’re unbeatable, and once you get ahead of yourself complacency creeps in.. Clubs will recruit over summer, know your players and structures a little better, close the gap and then only takes one good game from them and bam.
Imagine breezing through majority of the next two seasons and missing promotion.. that would really **** the club up.

And therein lies the backward thinking which has made you a basket case for the last 10-15 years haha

Tell ya what, whilst all the focus has been on Brahma, I think the Crabs have sailed under the radar a bit this off season and picked up plenty.

Definitely, the handful from Mitcham Div4/ 4res will be very handy.
