Outdoor is 500 from July 3rd, will rise to 1000 by the end of July

Yep our club is around 225 so just over 50 people, alot wouldnt be much more than that. This government is so far out of touch with the average person and so incosistent with its policies

Yes but Stage 3 is still set to come into effect on the 29th June so plenty of time for numbers to increase.

Its the Transition team who make the decisions and the Police Commissioner institutes and polices them
Has anybody been able to find out what the expectations are around counting a crowd of 500? How do the A Graders get in if its already at capacity? Does someone have to stay on the gate after they stop taking gate money to make sure it doesnt go over 500? Or do you think we could get the local polkice to turn a blind eye to it all?

Its 500 at the oval from july 3 onwards this was announced weeks ago. 300 is the number allowed at training announced today between now and up until july 3 with alcohol allowed to be served according to rmfl fb page that also outlines all todays other covid requirement related announcements.

The purpose of this email is to provide an update on three key points: Further easing of COVID-19 restrictions following the positive State Government announcements today
SANFL Return to Play Roadmap The critical update following the announcements today are highlighted below in red:
From Friday 19 June (Today): • Full squad training can commence • No mandated training configurations • Internal trial matches can occur • Records of participants are no longer required • Access to changerooms and toilets permitted, however no showers or wet areas • Up to 300 spectators can attend training/matches – record of attendance not required • Sale of food and beverage, including alcohol permitted
From Friday 26 June • Full Squad Training Continues • Inter-Club Trial Matches Permitted • Competition Matches Permitted • Up to 300 spectators can attend training/matches plus the above points highlighted in red
From Friday 3 July • Competition with Spectators of at least 500 (limits and protocols being finalised) • Wet Area Access (restrictions and protocols being finalised) • Sale of food and beverage, including alcohol permitted
As highlighted, the restrictions associated with a return to competition are constantly improving and moving in a positive direction. We expect further detail next week regarding restrictions and protocols relating to match day management, in particular wet area access from Friday 3 July. This will be addressed at the League/Club webinar sessions next week, so we ask that you wait for further information via that platform.
In short, we are extremely confident that leagues and clubs that have set a commencement date will be positioned to play football in an environment which is not only extremely viable, but which is far more advanced than we could have all had hoped for only a short time ago.
25k allowed at Adelaide Oval from next week, full crowds at local footy must be a given now, patience of our many clubs is paying off. With no player payments clubs could not only recover financially but get well ahead over the next 4 months.
Youre right Dutchy, with player payments out the way (club can still spend $650 a game with payer incentives, eg BOG) clubs who have good sponsorship and following could potentially end up in a better financial position vs end of season last year. Will be interested to see in 2021 whether salary cap remains same as this year. Maybe long term COVID will prove to be defining point in Country footy salary issues? It might also bring a wave of club amalgamations for those they dont do so well this year.
AFL Victoria that runs VFL down to grassroots has just completed a big review of football leagues that span the four or so leagues in the Gippsland region. Initial recommendations is for league mergers as of 2021 with further changes implemented by 2025. This follows an even bigger review a few years ago that saw league mergers and club mergers in some areas of country Victoria.
Surely time for SANFL/SACFL to do something similar over here. It seems the distance between the towns in some leagues is hardly a factor if many of the players are travelling from the city anyway. Netball seems to be reason for some leagues and clubs to be resistant to change but that hasn't stopped some of the Victorian changes.
Several 14 to 16 club leagues now in Country Victoria that allows a final 8 which is also a $ bonus for leagues and clubs. Just looking at the East of the State - surely the time is now to consider the best way forward for some sort of rationalisation of RFL, RFL Ind, RMFL, Mallee, KNTFL, MSEFL and Western Border. I know its still a fairly large area but 7 leagues (or 6 leagues and 7 comps if you count RFL as 1 league) seems too many these days.
But of course it shouldn't stop there. YPFL, APFL, NEFL & NAFA should also be looked at collectively.

Spoken like a true country person!!! BLG, Hills and GSFL no problems - quasi metro leagues anyway. But if you can't accept that the structure of country footy in SA needs some sort of review then you can't be looking too far beyond your patch.
I see they're trying to get a Limestone Coast league up & running for 1 year for clubs down that way to at least have a competition. Interesting to see how Kybybolite go against West Gambier or will they have 2 divisions

I wonder if our visionary SANFL ,Community Football will give a vision for football in the state? The Fleurieu Football League incorporating SFL , GSFL , HFL 1 & 2 in a divisional competition based with full sides on a Saturday from juniors to seniors would be a good vision? just my thoughts .

With some work this could be one of the strongest leagues in SA. Great initiative and one would think it’s at least the base for further discussion past 2020.

Care to comment on this "daysofourlives". Things might be rosy in the Wine League but maybe this will sow the seed for exactly what I was talking about above.

30 teams, 3 divisions, promotion and relegation with the longest road trip being yank to Langhorne creek. It’s got some merit!!!
