IIRC, it's some sort of WW1 memorial. Not sure what it's got to do with colonisation.

Mike Sheahan is doing himself irreparable damage associating with the f*ckwit.

Perhaps he's preparing his annual 'top 50 dickheads in footy' list, and hopes to slide himself into the mix.

It costs him to run it, they won't have any sponsors.

Needn't bother. Sheahan is the most closed-minded, navel-gazing Victorian in that entire state. His universe does not extend beyond the greater Melbourne limits; it must have come as a complete shock to him to discover that football not only existed outside of Victoria, but in fact those other leagues had been propping up his own state with talent for decades. If he ever did prepare a list of the biggest 50 dickheads in football he'd only have to think of 49 because he has clear dibs on top spot.

And in context, they were sharing what they believed was the most common view among media at the time

Reckon Jim Main would also be up there, IIRC he shared similarly parochial views of Vic footy.

Haha! Bullshit, it was never about St Kilda showing heart.

Wasn't he copping racially offensive crap from the Vic Park members, and pointed to himself after a game that St KIlda won comfortably? That gesture could only mean one thing.

Yep, pretty sure they wouldn't build a statue to celebrate St Kilda having a ticker at Optus Stadium in WA. One thing they don't have!
