I used to spend ages hitting balls off of the 3rd. Great hole for practising your short irons.
Yes that par 3 at Clare is amazing. As is a similar par 3 at Sandy creek course. Always try and sneak in at least 2 shots (more if nobody is waiting or looking) every time you play them
Would that be the 7th?
It's been awhile but something like that. Just a pitcher from way above the hole.

Absolutely. He was really looking forward to footy starting but understands it probably won't start for another 12 months (would be good for kids development if we could squeeze in even 3 or 4 games).
I've been capping him at 5 or 6 holes each time so it doesn't become a chore.
Nice, a good age for the lad to take it up too. Just make sure it stays "fun" for now.
By memory you are up at Clare..... nice course there too, good greens. I will never forget that par 3 down the hill.

I might be going a bit early here (whats new huh), but I rate the sense of state pride through this CoVid situation thus far. Most if not all of us have held plenty of legitimate gripes over the way things have or haven't been done in this state for a long time. But the feeling I get from forums, messages, SM, zooms with friends etc, is a rare return to a sense of pride in the state and how we've handled things thus far. Makes for a nice change.

It's doing my head in how everyone is getting the shits on about not opening pubs or starting footy up yet, no new cases doesn't mean it's stopped spreading, it merely means that no new people have been diagnosed.
Just give it time and the right people will make the right call, I wanna get out there both on the field and in the pub as soon as the next bloke but I don't want to be stop starting.
"You can take my pub off me once, it's saving lives, I'm ok with that, but you're not taking it off me twice, stay the f*ck at home until this is over."

Junior Boon, Anzac Day, 8 Jacks cans deep, 9pm.
Totally agree.
There were some other pearls but this one stood out. We spent some time discussing this one.
