For how long though? They will be right for another 2-3 months on jobs that were committed prior to this, but with people sitting on their hands now I wonder what the medium term outlook is?
My sons work has enough work to see them through to Christmas as long as supplies hold up

Display homes are still open and builders are advertising business as usual, so as long as supply chains are good and theres no restrictions put on them by the government, I dont see it effecting them too much more than it currently is.

Where we're building there's probably 100+ houses in the pipeline, and theres two other estates nearby doing the same.

I saw an article about extending Daylight Saving to boost the morale of those in isolation.

What does everyone think?

My next month is going to be the most boring one I've endured in my adult life so I'm looking forward to it ending.

I'm basically putting my whole months pay to an outstanding debt that I no longer want to pay installments to and then living like a hermit, I figure I may aswell while the pubs are shut and I can't waste it anywhere.

No umpiring this season has kicked me in the nads big time, there's plenty of people worse off than me though so I wont complain.

In fairness to Spargo it is a staggeringly idiotic idea.

By all means get up at a different hour to normal if you're afflicted by low 'morale', but wanting to foist it on the rest of us...

One good thing about age and semi-retirement is that my getting up is determined by daylight levels not the clock setting and today I got up about 11am after the new wife brought me a cup of tea in bed...

Generally, I don't like getting up in semi-darkness which was why most of my career in private medical practice I worked 10am till 6pm - but at least that let me fit in people who couldn't get time off work at the end of the day. So I'd shorten the period of daylight saving myself for my well being.
