Aussies all out for 271, probably 50 to 70 short of what they need

Sfricans currently 4/197 in the 40th

Not much hope when you have M. Marsh as your 1st change bowler

Of note DeKock had his furniture rearranged by Starc 3rd ball again

The line-up looked very frail in both disciplines, lucky Marnus got out quickly otherwise we would've only made 250.

Short needs to bat higher, we don't need him protecting his wicket because we've lost our top/middle order, we need him paving the way and setting us up for a 320+ score.

Finch

Smith
Maxwell (Head if GM is unavailable)
Carey

Watched a bit last night, pitch was a belter, par was 320+ (England made 399 on this deck not long ago).

I sense a bit of fatigue is setting in with our lads.

3 ODI's against NZ coming up and then off to NZ for 2 T20's, then half the squad heads to the IPL. You would understandbly get dizzy.

Australia lost 6/47 at the back end of the innings, watching the highlights just then showed the decision making/shot selection that caused the dismissals were poor.

South Africa won by 6 wickets last night and whitewashed the ODI series 3-0. Not much has gone right in ODI cricket for the Aussies lately but they will have to turn it around quick if they want beat New Zealand in the Chappell Hadlee series which starts in Sydney on Friday. Australia go into the series with the same squad that faced SA (minus Jhye Richardson) so make of that what you will.

Who knew there was a series starting this week?

Absolutely meaningless shit.

Tests v England, South Africa, India and New Zealand, the ODI World Cup, that's all that counts.

After the Sydney Test we went to India and didn't play any 50 Over Cricket at home. I really don't like the scheduling at the moment but it's all geared around the T20 World Cup later in the year.

After these 3 ODI's we go to NZ for 3 x T20's, and then England later in the year for more T20's.

Surely even the worlds biggest cricket nuffie couldn't get interested in this.

The SCG crowd will look like they're doing a trial run for any upcoming corona virus lock outs at sporting events.

Cricket Australia is dead set taking the piss. Going to India and South Africa during our Summer. Taking our test players over, and now a series starting in March. Should have been done and dusted weeks ago. Cooked players order underarm deliveries and sandpaper the ball. When will these greedy Kents ever learn?

Remember the good ole days when the WSC always somehow ended up going to the 3rd final and then they'd wrap up all the awards for the summer after the final match and then we were left with that empty feeling of cricket being over for another 6 months, we might have got lucky and had an Ashes tour we could get winter fix on or a world cup somewhere that could be televised.

Those were the days, that was cricket for the spectator, it was interactive with the Kit Kat Strike Rate competition, the Sidchrome Supertest Team, classic catches, now it's all about TV rights and cramming as many games in as possible, our players travel around like the Ashtons Circus.

Like honestly, why the hell would we travel half way across the world for a couple of T20's or ODI's? surely that is taking the piss to the extreme, the money wasted on these pissant tours could be going to something better, give it back to the grassroot clubs, they rip the public off enough as it is.
