Port Adelaide Vs Geelong GF

i am really starting to get worried. being an avid crows supporter it is really hard after the years the crows had and not making the GF twice. if port win the Flag that will be devistating. and Port will make it. every one keeps going on about the record between the teams but that means nothing because those wins were in the pagan years :axe: :Hangman:

Its a bit early to be talking about the Grand Final.

Any of the 4 teams left could win it.

Wouldn't you hate it if Port or Geelong didn't make it?

Port and Geelong are the favourite to win both preliminary finals but there is a chance that the Kangaroos and Collingwood could win and go through to the grand final and win it...

yes and no. dont want port to make it but i want geelong to beat collingwood. If Port lose will they be called Chokers???. everyone will say NO but in 2004 the crows finished 12th and in 2005 the crows choked or that is what the power supporters called it????

Anyone else over the whole "Choking" tag thing?

Both teams have at various times (as all in the comps have) lost matches from positions they shouldn't have ... Both have also worn the chokers tag (unfairly) on occasions when they were just beaten by stronger teams.

My order of likely GF combinations:

1 Geelong v Port
2 Geelong v Roos
3 Collingwood v Port
4 Collingwood v Roos

As a Crows supporter at least we can be thankful they have made it in a year when another team is so dominant .... thank god for the Cats

Have a look through the GF/Final results of the various amateur and country leagues, it is very common for the better performed teams of the minor rounds to get beaten in prelim and GF's. This is one of the things that makes our game fantastic, surely. There is always alot of talk about teams coming from 5th spot or worse, to make GF's. For this to happen, then they have to beat more fancied opponents. Are they chokers? Sometimes not enough credit is given to the winning side.

I'm just hoping it's not a Port v Collingwood Grand Final. Do you think they'd cancel it due to lack of interest?

Roos obviously have the best chance of causing the upset out of the 2 games

To me, that game is 51/49 Port just because its at home and they have had the week's rest

Big ed would love that. Although if Port beat the pies in a GF, next season of AFL would be cancelled ....
