9 Players from Geelong, is not right IMO

Mooney before Lucas, Franklin and Riewoldt is a strange decision. I thought McIntosh deserved to be in the side on the bench, and would have had Foley instead of Corey.

How Dustin Fletcher can get a gig in the side amazes me.. his year has not been as good as some people make out and i cant believe he got a spot in the 22.

Franklin's highs are very high, but he has a number of quiet games as well. Greater consistency will see him make the side.

Worst side in history.

Johnson missed 6 games, he shouldn't have made it. Fletcher is a joke, and Adcock's had a better year than he and Milburn.

Where is Riewoldt? He barely had a bad game all year and Franklin kicked 63 goals (H&A season), had 5 bags of 5+ goals. Both were robbed.

Like some others, I have trouble with Mooney being in there

And Chad Cornes on a wing  He deserved to be in there don't get me wrong but on a wing? Is this just squeezing the 22 best players in to the positions regardless of where they normally play?

Look at Hawthorn's 2 finals for an example of this

HOWEVER - if you were picking a side to go ahead and play for your life would you have Buddy or Mooney?

Raises an interesting point, do they actually be named in position given this side is never going to lineup against anyone?

Why not just select the best 25 footballers for the season? (or something along those lines)

Enright, Otto, Chapman and Hunt unlucky. Penalised for the AFL not wanting to many Cats in there. Harley would have been a monty if he'd played more too.

Johnson played only 16 games, this appears to be enough to not only be considered, but selected.

Blakey and Wojja stiff as well. One of these days we'll get some respect LOL. Seriously though, Flecther ahead of Lockyer? Of all the Cats Mooney and Dog the luckiest.

I thought this year's side was excellent and Johnson hasn't done a thing wrong since getting back into the cats line up. I like the fact that there is a few new faces instead of the usual ones. The cats have had a top year and all players have fired up for Geelong.

9 players from one side this year, goes to show that perhaps Geelong have been the dominant force, IF they win the flag this year (don't want to jinx them REB) they would have the most representatives from the premiers since 1991 as below.Even the two most dominant teams since 1991 (Essendon 2000, Carlton 1995) had fewer representatives.
For what it is worth since the premiership sides have had the following representations
91.Hawthorn - NIL
92.West Coast - 1
93.Essendon - 2
94.West Coast - 4
95.Carlton - 5
96.North Melbourne - 3
97.Adelaide - 2
98.Adelaide - 4
99.North Melbourne - 3
00.Essendon - 4
01.Brisbane - 4
02.Brisbane - 6
03.Brisbane - 3
04.Port Adelaide - 2
05.Sydney - 2
06.West Coast - 4
07. :?: :?: :?:

I don't have an issue with Mooney selection, my view, he and Ablett have been the absolute keys to the Cats this year, and a CHF role should not purely be measured by goals

however, I do have a concern with

S Johnson, he missed the first 6 games, the selectors were obviously looking for a cinderella story
B Johnson, I don't believe his year has been anywhere as good as last year, Brett Ebert, can consider himself a little unlucky
D Fletcher, in my opinion he is very over-rated, for a player that has the size to play a key position, he very rarely picks up the opposition best forward, Rurren very unlucky.
Cox and Kerr, once agin missed a few games and struggled in some games due to injury, my opinion both players made the side on reputation, McIntosh and Lockyer very unlucky
C Ling, has a very good season, however Adcock in my books has had an outstanding season

You are very hard on Kerr, He has had great year, he may have missed games but the 17 that he played were excellent. Could quite easily be top 3 in the Brownlow (Suspended of course) Deserved to be in the side. This is his first AA as well.
