Yep.
He can’t keep wearing them on the lid though, he has to develop a way to combat it
How lucky was he in the last 30 minutes, so many chances.
NZ deserved that wicket, his luck had to run out eventually.
Travis comes in again just when new ball coming up.

In this team he goes ok. Complements the other bowlers, in some other teams I agree he'd get pasted.

He's no Alec Bedser but does his job. Maybe his success is more a reflection on the declining abilities/concentration of Test batsmen.

Re: Trans Tasman Trophy
Been a good day’s play so far. Hope Trav can dig in here. Looking forward to seeing Williamson bat on this wicket. Should be at its best late day 2, and into day 3.

Re: Trans Tasman Trophy
Williamson’s decision to bowl looking even worse now.
Hopefully tomorrow we can nudge up towards 500 and bat them out of the contest

One wonders how NZ would have handled that first session.
Good patient batting by the Aussies have seen them reap the rewards

Luck played a fair part too. Latham and particularly Williamson are as gritty as 40 grit sandpaper.

Re: Trans Tasman Trophy
Yep Australia's day today only losing the four wickets, hindsight is a wonderful thing and it's always strange when a captain wins the toss and sends the opposition in but with Boult getting Burns early it looked like a good decision and there was a fair bit of swing for the NZ quicks showing there is enough in it for the bowlers. Starts from Warner, Labuschage and Wade, Marnus didn't really even look like getting out until that mishap. Hopefully Smith and Head can keep building their partnership tomorrow, another great opportunity for Trav to cash in.

Re: Trans Tasman Trophy
Warner and Labuschagne putting on 60 odd and batting through the bulk of a difficult first session was crucial

Re: Trans Tasman Trophy
Shithouse from NZ to not back themselves in and bat. It’s not a result wicket and you rarely get that on these shores. If you win the toss in Australia and you want to win a series then bat first.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

Chappell was the best Australian batsman I saw as a kid and I never imagined there would come a time when he wasn’t in the top 10
