It's not rocket science.

I'd love to get the dvd of that match and do the same biased report of the goals not from frees/goals from frees of that match like you did.

Not that it matters though, because North were the better side on that day, no question.

Ive still got it mate, I'll lend you a copy any day. PM me anytime.

I don't mean to be disrespectful or anything but were there more than a dozen Eagles fans there today?
Could not here one from the hill. Seriously.

Surely no more than 1000 Eagles supporters there. 2 merged clubs into one crap supporter base. After winning a premiership, I can't understand why.

What a shit thread. Eagles were gifted plenty of frees in the middle of the game and it was poorly umpired, but the reason you lost was kicking for goal and the Rooster spirit. We fought back and won fair and square, to blame the umpires is just pathetic.

It was probably the umpires fault despite giving 7 more free kicks to the umpires that the Eagles crowd (similar to the Sturt crowd last week) were completely drowned out. Our fans have been worth 5 goals a game for the last 2 weeks, absolutely amazing stuff on the hill. :D

And I must say too, I'd rather go for a club/clubs/whatever that does not insult a supporter and expect to get away with it, no matter how small our supporter base may be.

Umpiring was ordinary in both games today. It was worse in the Glenelg/Sturt game. Made no difference to the outcome of the game. North won because they were more polished in front of goal and had enough grit to finish off the game.

Before you start the oh woe is me angle Spelly, just have a look at which team's supporter started this thread before getting too high and mighty.
I have a hell of a lot of respect for you and I can understand if someone goes to a game, goes home, sits through the entire game and statistically analyses the game and details that on here if they have an issue with the umpires goal by goal challenging anyone to disagree with that analysis.

To come on here with no analysis whatsover when actually getting 7 more free kicks than the opposition is ridiculous, perhaps if you'd used a bit of common sense before replying and thought about it a bit harder you'd agree?

I didn't say you agreed with him, my point was, if you're going to have a go at anyone for comments on this thread just have a look at who started it and what sort of detailed analysis they had in backing their point of view.
Any reasonable person without an issue would have jumped on the original poster before making issuing with any return of serve.

Guts, heart and passionate supporters.

Still in a bit of disbelief myself as in those conditions today the 5 goal deficit was equal to a normal days 12 goal deficit.

Can someone please tell me when North Adelaide lose agame and blame the umpires that's OK but tonight i've done nothing different to the carp north supporters have done previously but that's not OK for Eagles to do. Some of you Rooters fans need to get a life - it's going to be good beating you in the Preliminary Final.

And North had nothing going for almost two quarters. Barely went inside 50, certainly no marks inside 50, poor skills ect, ect. The Eagles were completely dominant but in the end their inaccuracy cost them. They had the chance to well and truly shut the door but just kept North in it. The game was won for North late in the 3rd term. All of a sudden they started to win the clearances, they won the 1-on-1 battles, and they got their run back while the Eagles looked shot.

Amazing turn around.

I didn't see much of the early game but the 2nd game had rubbish umpiring throughout. Very AFL, soft, unnecessary free kicks given for bugger all. Frustrating and not enjoyable at all to watch umpires have an impact on a game. Forget the free kick tally - there's no rule in football that says they have to be even for both sides. Both sides were dealt with crap today.

Oh and btw the Eagles supporters standing in front of the Chappell stands were perhaps the biggest whiners I’ve ever heard. Right from the first minute they were almost in tears about the umpiring. Wanted to cover my ears it was that annoying.
