Picked up used F8 one length.
Had a hit with them today out on the course.
Quite impressed with them.
My normal swing/grip style does generate the draw to a more hook....but slight adjustment and they go fairly straight or a slight draw.
They do sound nice when you find the sweet spot.....hard to believe but i did find it occassionally...

Off to McCracken this weekend.....hopefully they dont let me down

Played The Dunes last weekend at Pt Hughes, in great nick as usual, and blowing a gale as usual! Dont think ive ever played a course that has as little protection from wind as the Dunes, true links golf. On the 17th I hit a hybrid from 150m onto the green, would usually hit an 8 iron, certainly get plenty of punch shots to keep ball under the wind, like UK links courses you generally play 4 holes with wind and 4 holes against (1 across),

Anyway golf wasn't great, couldn't get the driver or putter going, irons pretty good. Great day out though with a couple of mates, golf and beers and some respite from kids/wives :D

Went upto Blackwood yesterday.

Quite liked the greens up there, bit more suited to my style then some other places who are intent in having fast greens and Vines are included in that.
Fairways were recently cored, but still in good conditions.

Battled away for 32pts and being a hacker I left some out there

Has anyone here played golf in Thailand before? I'm heading over in May next year with the missus and another couple for a couple of weeks and we're basically making it a golfing holiday. We have a trip account we all put money into each week and we'll have it up to $7k when we head off. There is a bloke who plays at my local golf club and he heads over quite a bit for golf and you can get some great deals. Around $40.00 a head which includes sticks, buggy and a caddy on very nice courses.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Stroke round at Murray Bridge this Sunday. My young fella (9) coming out for a few hits too. Time to get the creaking joints used to golf again.

Started off rusty but managed 2pts.

Downhill since then.
Nice drives 12, 13 but just not capitalising.
Can already taste the beer

Nice and quiet out on the course yesterday, our 4 ball went around in a tad over 3.5hrs
Hit the ball ok, and ended up with 35.

Par round at Vines.
Hit the ball beautifully. Putting was just fair. Even poor, lets not sugar coat it.
But ended up at +1.

Happy with that. Best round in a while. Its nice standing over the ball and having a good indication where it will go...

Played golf at Flaggy yesterday, fairways are in poor nick and playing preferred lies, Im guessing a hangover from the lack of water last Summer.

played Bali National last week while in Bali. Beautiful course and I think it was worth the money.
I shot a 90 off the stick which also helped make it enjoyable

Was only looking at that over the weekend for our trip next year, what did it cost?

The bad thing with Flaggy at moment is with the fairways, once they run down the slope into the trees etc the ball doesnt stop!!!
