So none of it is true?

No issues paying out multiple staff?

Caro has a massive issue with North, ever since she said we were off to the Gold Coast and she was wrong, we were then never going to survive in Melbourne and then posted 7 years straight of profits and eliminated debt while being the only AFL club not to have income from gaming/gambling.

The club has never been in a better position off the field yet she stills has little digs, no other journalists do. If any of it was true they would be all running with the story.

Who really cares if we are paying out some staff leaving? At least we are in the position to do it.

We all have journalists that have little digs at our clubs. Some more vocal than others

Daniel Cherny :

A year of change in North Melbourne’s football department has continued with list manager Michael McMahon set to depart the club at the end of the upcoming trade period.

The Kangaroos confirmed to The Age that McMahon would leave in the coming weeks in a mutual parting of ways.

McMahon had been in the role for three years, arriving at Arden Street after a stint as a recruiter with Geelong.

He took over at North after predecessor Cameron Joyce was elevated to the head of the club’s football department.

McMahon’s imminent departure means North will enter 2020 with three major football department posts having changed hands in the preceding 12 months.

Joyce is also on the way out after 11 years at North. He will be replaced by former Kangaroos player Brady Rawlings, who begins at Arden Street in December after leaving West Coast, where he had been list manager.

The highest-profile change is in the senior coaching position, with Rhyce Shaw replacing Brad Scott, who resigned mid-season after almost a decade at the helm. Shaw was initially appointed interim senior coach before being signed on a permanent basis.

There are also changes in North’s assistant coaching ranks. Long-time assistant Leigh Tudor and Aaron Greaves have both departed the club, with Greaves leaving less than a year after joining from Port Adelaide.

Rawlings’ brother Jade has already been unveiled as a new assistant at Arden Street, leaving Melbourne, where he had been since 2012.

Jade has been appointed midfield coach.

Despite the completion of its $6.21M Arden Street development and an increase in football department spending of $3.67M, North Melbourne Football Club has recorded its eleventh profit in the past twelve years.

North CEO Ben Amarfio applauded the result and pointed to an exciting year ahead.

“Credit must be given to our executive team, Board and former CEO, Carl Dilena, who achieved a lot in his time. Thanks to the generosity of our loyal members, coteries and supporters, we have continued to position ourselves for the future,” Amarfio said.

“The redevelopment ensures our players have access to state-of-the-art facilities, to give them access to the best possible resources to achieve on-field success.”

The facility upgrade included AFLW changerooms, players’ lounge, wet room, new oval lighting and a coaches tower.

“As a result of the upgrade we were able to host VFL games last year and look forward to hosting more games in the upcoming AFLW, VFL and VFLW seasons.”

North’s modest profit of $47k came off the back of overall revenue growth of $41M to $44.6M.

“Last year, we introduced the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos into the AFLW competition and housed four teams (AFL, AFLW, VFL & VFLW) within our Arden St facility,” Amarfio said.

“While we are satisfied with our financial result, our players, staff and members are impatient and hungry for success. We are investing more into the football department as we strive for our fifth AFL premiership and first AFLW premiership.

“Our loyal members and supporters are largely to thank for the financial position we are in today, without them we simply would not exist.”
