The current system doesn't let them nominate a club as a 18yo, but as a 20yo after 2 years service you can go your hardest and nominate and more often than not get there.
The system is stuffed, time to bring in a 4 year min contract for the top 30 draftee's?

If however he is only willing to deal with WCE despite Freo (potentially) having a much better deal then thats poor form from kelly and geelong should remind him that gold coast have pre season draft pick #1.
Freo should be having a bit of fun with this scenario, you would think they would have more cap space than WCE so could offer him a better deal,, they have better picks to trade with the Cats and they have the better draft pick to leverage if he slipped thru to the draft.
Gold Coast couldnt fit him in their cap, if he goes to the draft he nominates his salary.

Swans have just said Papley won’t be allowed to leave so I doubt Daniher can get done

Sure I heard something this morning about maybe both daniher and Fantasia on the move and Essendon in the hunt to sign a contracted player that is a gun could be wrong.
I’m not so sure on Papley. Can see the Swans holding him for atleast another year. Daniher still hasn’t requested a move but if he does there is no way he will be let go unless it’s something decent

Yeah, a good possibility. Neither have formally requested a trade yet but seems like it is coming. I’d suspect we have a contingency plan

Sydney will pay overs, they know Franklin is cooked and need to have someone ready to go ASAP.

Three club deal with Kelly an Eagle. Not sure how Freo could benefit though....
Ok so in that theory, Rance is cooked cause he got injured. Half of GWS list and especially Patton. Or any other player who missed any chunk of the season...

He was training at full pace by seasons end...
Yeah. Exact same scenario those two.

Well if we are going to throw around nonsensical claims with zero facts, i though i'd get involved

Not salty at all about the Kelly trade because as you have pointed out plenty have gone the other way and he doesn't want to play for our club. But comparing Dangerfield to Kelly is a logic bomb of the highest order. Dangerfield didn't want to come home after two years after Geelong overlooked him in several drafts. Geelong is entitled to seek the best possible outcome for the trade and would be negligent if they did not do so. It has nothing to do with the great WA conspiracy that's rattling around in your head.

It's opinion. And I agree with him. Buddy looks as cooked as a few of ours.
