Strath go down in JC in overtime by 7 points despite having kicked 2 more goals than Willunga in normal time
9 - 2 to 7 - 14
Final Score Willunga 8 - 15 Def Strath 9 - 2

Victor smashed McLaren in the Senior Colts 15 - 11 to 3 - 5

B Grade - Tipping McLaren in a slight upaet

A Grade - Hoping the Creek to extend Willungas decade long drought and losing GF streak to 5

As i predicted, McLaren 'B's got up to inflict Willungas only 2nd loss for the season by 8 points 7 - 6 to 6 - 4

And as hoped for The Creeks got over Willunga comfortably in the end in the 'A's
Creek 14 - 13
Willunga 9 - 11

Both teams were off target in the 1st half blowing a chance for a significant half time lead which the Creeks held by 1 point 4 - 9 to 4 - 8

As has been customary in the 2nd half of the season, the Creeks put their opponents to the sword in the Premiership quarter and this was no exception as it quickly turned into the James Sellar show as he marked everything that came his way up forward to slot through 4 goals of the Creeks 8 for the term. Willunga replied with 3 goals to leave their hopes of breaking the drought hanging by a thread being 35 points down at 3/4 time
They had the better of the last term but failed to make any impression on the board as Sellar now in defense showed his worth by consistently rebounding the ball back out whilst picking up the west End Medal for BOG

Turned out to be a beautiful day at Mclaren.
JC- strath had Willunga on toast midway through the last quarter but the Dees rallied to level the scores at full time and with the momentum and fresher legs were able to claim the flag in extra time.

SC- McLaren had the use of the freshening breeze in the first and held a 5 point lead at the first break. From then on it was all Victor, kicking 6-4 to nothing in the second and another 2-4 to 2 points against the wind in the 3rd. Harry Vincent had the ball on a string and his clean possession, run and carry and delivery was a delight to watch.

JJ has said enough about the B’s [emoji57]

A’s...I’ll just say...James Sellar- maybe had a point to prove? And boy did he do so.
It goes to show, when recruiting is done right, you take home the trophies. McGregor was the difference in the second semi, and Sellar on GF day.

I believe that's what happened, hence there was no remonstrating.

I think so too Bull. There was plenty of push and shove after though- ump paid a 50m to Creek for the kick in from the resulting point too as he saw some retaliation.

Just pointing out they have opened a can of worms.

It seems people are both very short sighted and have very short memories.

From what I saw the push and shove was the usual posturing up when a team mate is felled, regardless of the reason. Was nothing in it at all. IMO if there was a case for the Creek player to answer the much larger Willunga players may have been more forthright. The free and subsequent 50m penalty was also paid to another creek player that wasn't involved in the initial incident.

Either way was a great game and for me at least a great result.

Has anyone heard the rumour that Brent Harvey may be playing a few games for Yankalilla next season? Would pull a crowd that’s for sure!

Lindsay Thomas’ time at Portland was swift, mildly successful and is now over.
Great Southern Football League club Yankalilla announced last month that Thomas would be taking over as coach of the Tigers in 2020.
