What was the Athelstone defender thinking as he kicked the ball out on the full right next to the boundary, a bad time for a brain fart.
How did the siren go before the ball was thrown up back in the middle? Shouldn't the clock have been stopped after the goal?

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 2 - 2019
I declare my bias.. but I really can't can't hear a ding - despite full volume on the PC. In slow mo frame by frame the ball does not appear to deviate from its line, if it had hit hard enough to make a ding then you'd expect the balls flight path to waver.
I see the goal ump go straight to the middle of the sticks without hesitation.
Seemed like a regulation goal to me. And with no goal review system.. as previously mentioned: "The Goal Umpire's decision is final."

It is what it is and it gave us something to talk about for a couple of days.
In other news, Seaton's Shane Harris won his second medal in a row last night becoming the D2 medalist for 2019

I have no bias to either side. I can only suggest getting some better speakers for your PC, or try using headphonesBigB wrote:I declare my bias.. but I really can't can't hear a ding - despite full volume on the PC. Must admit i couldn't hear it, but the post does appear to wobble as the ball passes by - plus the 6 blokes under that are all pointing to it, and the guy on the video pointing out it hit the post certainly suggests it did.S Demon wrote:I have no bias to either side. ditto for me..no noise but the slight wobble i see..nearly every AFC player remonstrates at the same time..i reckon its hit it..The Bedge wrote:Must admit i couldn't hear it, but the post does appear to wobble as the ball passes by - plus the 6 blokes under that are all pointing to it, and the guy on the video pointing out it hit the post certainly suggests it did.S Demon wrote:I have no bias to either side. Sadly we didn't have a replay of the disallowed goal on the siren the week earlier.. I reckon that would've given us even more to talk about

And Athelstone officials said he is leaving, so must have a coaching gig worked out somewhere!

Unley have given themselves every possible chance in recent years but always seem to fall short on the big day. They obviously play well on there home deck but struggle at Thebby...... 0/3. Congrats to Athelstone football Club on there first A grade flag in a couple decades.marbles wrote:Just searched if unley lost all 3 grand finals...
